Welcome To Midwest Recruiting Bootcamp

Midwest Recruiting Bootcamp

4 days to go!!!

After having this idea for a few years and being a part of many recruiting conversations around Minneapolis/St Paul and the Midwest the past six months it’s time to do a conference bootcamp. And while I have had a lot of support to do this... it is this LinkedIn post in May that created a lot of positive reaction and email and when I was all in on this:

Midwest Recruiting Bootcamp, Recruiter Conference

We have seen the surveys and stories that say Minneapolis/St Paul will be short 100,000 workers by 2020. Same story for other cities in the Midwest. Others say that 30% - 60% of workers (nationally) are looking for a new job. Yet… we can’t find who we are looking for and most companies talk about a shortage of talent.

So… July 31st and August 1st 2017 I will be hosting a first of its kind Midwest Recruiting Bootcamp at the University of Minnesota Carlson School of Management. Here is the venue with seating for 250:

Midwest Recruiting Bootcamp, Recruiter Conference

10 speakers and 2 days of nuts and bolts, blocking and tackling…recruiter training. We will not be talking about trends or 30,000 foot strategic views…only how to’s. My goal is for us to have fun, be casual, engage and interact with each other and for you to leave at the end of day two tired with a fried brain and a toolbox of new things to experiment with and implement.

I have put together a speaker list of local, regional and national experts who have experience recruiting in and to the Midwest. Some have spoken at events in Minneapolis and others you have read or seen speak at ERE, SourceCon, TalentNet, Recruiting Daily and Fistful of Talent.
