THE OPPORTUNITY
Kipsu is seeking a Recruiter to join our Human Resources team. In this role, you’ll play a critical role helping us to build the team behind our high growth, Minneapolis-based software company. You will be primarily responsible for actively sourcing candidates for open roles, partnering closely with hiring managers and candidates throughout the recruiting process to ensure a positive experience on both sides, and evaluating the effectiveness of recruiting through metrics and feedback mechanisms. We believe that the team that powers Kipsu is our competitive advantage and you will have an outsized impact on the scaling of Kipsu.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Your responsibilities will include:
- Full Cycle Recruitment
- Partnering closely with hiring managers to determine hiring needs and develop a strong marketing plan
- Managing the ATS system to post the role and communicate with candidates
- Actively sourcing candidates through high engagement channels
- Screening candidates
- Setting up interviews and helping educate candidates on the Kipsu story
- Gathering feedback, consulting with interviewers and synthesizing evaluation signals
- Making offer recommendations
- Maintaining timelines and expectations with managers and candidates throughout the process
- Efficient Staffing
- Maintain an average of 60 days or less to fill the majority of positions
- Proactively communicate with stakeholders when circumstances deviate from agreed upon time to fill expectations
- Stay ahead of staffing needs by actively sourcing roles that are known to be on the horizon
- Network, source, and build a talent pipeline to ultimately attract the most capable talent to join Kipsu
- Talent Assessment
- Drive a strong and disciplined talent assessment process
- Ensure candidates are aligned with our core values by ensuring that interviewers are up to date on core value interview practices
- Regularly work with leadership team members to evaluate the effectiveness of current selection strategies, make recommendations and drive initiatives to maniacally improve
- Supporting hiring managers with making great hiring decisions by digging deep into candidates backgrounds
- ATS Administration
- Serve as the main administrator of Paycor Recruiting
- Proactively work with marketing team to ensure that employer branding/culture is evident in communications sent to candidates throughout the process
- Ensure consistency with offer letters and hiring practices
- Communication/Expectation
- Present ongoing requisition updates to key stakeholders, including hiring management team and VP of HR
- Provide data analytics to identify hiring trends over time
- Stay up to date on industry hiring trends and provide updates to management as appropriate
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion
- Create a diversity sourcing strategy by building strong external partnerships and diverse associations
- Communicate regularly with hiring manager to ensure inclusive practices in decision-making
- Use existing compensation data to ensure pay equity when making offer recommendations and driving consistency in Kipsu’s pay structure
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
- We will favor candidates that have the following characteristics and background:
- 2 to 5 years of in-house, full cycle recruiting experience. Experience working with positions in the technology industry is a plus
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration or equivalent field is a plus but not required.
- Desire to work closely and collaboratively in an in-office setting (currently four days per week from Monday through Thursday) at our beautiful and vibrant downtown Minneapolis office
- Willing to travel locally as needed to various recruiting and networking events
- Proven ability to work collaboratively with business partners; natural inclination for clear and consistent communication
- Comfort with juggling multiple priorities without sacrificing quality of output
- Strong desire to “always be improving” and finding ways to create more efficient and innovative processes
- Discipline and perseverance to find the right candidates and be a great partner to executives and hiring managers
- Willingness to take on additional human resources administrative responsibilities when recruiting needs are light
