At Transwest, the Recruiter (Talent Acquisition Consultant ) serves as not only as a talent acquisition expert, responsible for full life cycle recruitment activity, but as a consultant to organization managers on strategy for hiring top talent in each industry the Transwest organization serves. ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with directors, hiring managers and teammates to understand and support organization hiring needs as well as counsel stakeholders on the recruiting process and market activity.
  • Partner with hiring managers and directors to obtain information that clearly defines search parameters i.e. requirements, key responsibilities, and skills.
  • Develop, drive, and manage strong business relationships with hiring managers and directors to ensure successful hires.
  • Promote and sell Transwest to prospective candidates.
  • Demonstrate the ability to quickly grasp and present solutions to complex recruiting requirements and issues.
  • Utilize all available resources to seek out industry-leading talent and incorporate them into the talent pipeline for Transwest.
  • Develops Recruitment leads from all candidate interactions and conduct follow up calls to develop new talent and recruitment opportunities.
  • Complete full-cycle talent acquisition in compliance with company processes: to include sourcing, networking, resume review, phone, video, in-person interviews, extend offers, negotiate and successfully hire top talent.
  • Deliver interview feedback, interview activity, and recommend hiring/interviewing techniques as appropriate.
  • Manage the Time-to-Fill metric with managers to ensure efficient timelines for requisitions.
  • Ensure smooth transition through pre-hire to post-hire process for candidates.
  • Identify opportunities for improvement and make constructive suggestions for change.
  • Act as a subject matter expert and advise in making suggestions for process and procedure improvements.
  • Participate in job fairs and community activities to promote organizational agenda and image, while developing relationships for future goals.
  • Other duties as assigned by the manager.

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL ABILITIES:

  • Requires frequent sitting for prolonged periods of time in an office setting.
  • Occasional stooping and bending.
  • Standing for prolonged periods of time at recruiting events.
  • Ability to lift/push/pull up to 45 lbs.
  • Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate by providing verbal feedback in a professional manner.
  • Ability to receive and analyze data and input into the computer.
  • Normal range of hearing and vision.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE, KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS:

  • College degree preferred. High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Valid Driver's License and MVR in good standing.
  • Minimum 3 years of progressive experience with full-cycle talent acquisition required.
  • Experience in developing search strategies and must be able to conduct in-depth interviews and create candidate profiles.
  • Demonstrate critical thinking ability.
  • Ability to analyze complex data and develop sound recommendations and solutions.
  • Understand how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills; able to complete responsibilities effectively in a high volume, fast-paced service environment.
  • Strong sourcing ability
  • Ability to communicate clearly, concisely and persuasively, via telephone, writing, 1:1 or in small groups.
  • Ability to interact effectively with all employees and candidates across diverse populations.
  • Ability to be an effective team member and as needed, to handle project leadership responsibility.
  • Strong understanding of Human Resource laws and functions as it relates to employment and staffing.
  • Willing and able to adapt to new recruiting processes and effectively deal with change.
  • Ability to successfully complete a General Abilities Assessment and pass post-offer background check, physical and drug screening.
