Overview

The Manager, Talent Development is responsible for establishing and implementing professional development strategies and programs to support Endeavor’s culture, advance organizational goals, provide developmental and learning opportunities for employees. The Manager works with other leaders to champion the Company’s efforts to attract, train and retain top talent. This ultimately improves the airlines overall bench strength, talent retention and internal promotion rates. 

Responsibilities

  • Along with the director, develops and executes the overall talent development plan for the organization.
  • Conducts needs assessment with leadership, managers/supervisors and employees to determine necessary training and development opportunities. 
  • Manages development programs including implementation, facilitation, and evaluation of programs and solutions.
  • Collaborates with HR colleagues to determine necessary and/or required training.
  • Designs programs that help meet specific learning objectives for targeted groups of employees and supports leaders with teambuilding and other types of departmental training as requested.
  • Design and implement programs for performance development, leadership, employee assessment and succession planning to develop the talent pipeline.
  • Supports and implements leadership development sessions to develop high potential employees and emerging leaders.
  • Analyze and reports data to evaluate the outcomes and effectiveness of the talent development programs.
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends, tools, practices and advancements and brings creative ideas into action.
  • Manages the coordination of corporate new hire onboarding programs.
  • Manage the development budget and may assist with expense and payroll approval as necessary.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS in human resources or related business field or combination of education and experience in a human resources or training and development role.
  • SPHR or PHR preferred
  • 5 years’ experience working in training and development or related HR discipline
  • 1 - 3 years of supervisory experience is preferred
  • Demonstrated experience in talent management, strategic planning, organizational development, change management, professional leadership development, employee engagement
  • Experience with the creation and development of internal/external training programs to drive organizational effectiveness
  • Advanced demonstration of communication skills, including presentation skills
  • Strong process and operational background
  • Must be both strategic and tactical, with demonstrated project management skills
  • Knowledge of employment laws and requirements
  • Knowledge of relevant regulatory and compliance requirements
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite
  • This position handles confidential information therefore the individual must be discrete.
  • Experience working with a learning management system (LMS) preferred

Work Environment & Physical Demands

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule that may include evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Some repetitive motion such as typing.
  • 5 – 20% travel may be required.
  • Position requires some physical exertion such as pulling, pushing, reaching, bending, standing, walking and light lifting of boxes, bags, electronic equipment, and emergency/galley equipment not to exceed 30 lbs.
  • Can involve long periods of sitting.
  • Some travel will be required
