The Talent Acquisition Program Manager of Diversity Events/Conferences will oversee identifying, negotiating, planning, optimizing, and executing all national diversity career event initiatives aligning with the Operating Business Unit’s and our IE&D (DEI) initiatives. This Program manager will report to the Global Senior TA Manager of Sourcing, Events, and Attraction (SEA), working with the broader team to achieve our diverse hiring goals from events and representing our organizational brand and values.
This position can sit in any Medtronic US location or be fully remote in any US location.
A Day in the Life
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.
- Strategic Event Management- Identify, negotiate, plan, optimize, and execute all national diversity career event initiatives in alignment with the Operating Business Unit’s needs and our ID&E (DEI) initiatives.
- Stakeholder Engagement– Engage and collaborate with key stakeholders to understand their recruitment needs, gaining support and commitment for diversity event conferences, leadership engagement, and hiring manager involvement.
- Vendor Management- Negotiate recruiting sponsorships, create career fair social media advertisements with Medtronic branding, set up vendor and booth management, and develop/implement the pre/post recruiting strategy and candidate sourcing.
- Training and Overview- Provide career fair process overviews and recruitment training cross-functionally and organization-wide to Recruiters, ERG volunteers, and Operating Units team members. Follow up with career fair recruiting team and stakeholders to influence hiring outcomes across all business groups.
- Engagement Activities- Engage Employee Resource Groups, Professional Association Networks, and Medtronic Network members for diversity conference activities, including workshop presentations, award nominations, recruiting, community outreach, and connecting top candidates with company Ambassadors.
- Reporting and Analytics- Establish and track key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the success and ROI of diversity event initiatives. Additionally, report and deliver hiring outcomes and recruiting strategy metrics dashboard and analytics to highlight the team’s success, drive accountability, and evaluate the progress of diversity sourcing initiatives and career fair events.
- Budget Management- Manage programming budget, complete quarterly forecasts, and plan Annual Operational Plan forecast.
- Collaboration with Early Careers- Partner with the early careers team to ensure alignment going into events, drive effective strategies to hire top talent, and build talent pipelines to stay engaged with candidates interested in joining our team.
- Collaboration with Recruiters/Sourcers- Partner with recruiters/Sourcers to generate ideas, leverage resources, hire entry level and experienced candidates, share information to facilitate an effective search process, and continually evaluate diversity recruiting.
- Inclusion, Diversity and Equity- Collaborate with Global Inclusion, Diversity & Equity team to create and embed an inclusive events strategy in partnership with Sourcing, Recruiting and Talent Attraction.
- Employee Value Proposition – Ensure Employee Value Proposition is reflected through branding, communication with candidates and employee representation at events.
- ROI Assessment/Continuous Improvement- Develop and implement a systematic approach to assess the Return on Investment (ROI) for each diversity event, capturing insights, and ensuring a data driven approach to enhance future event strategies.
- Strong Written and Verbal Skills-Excellent communication skills, able to articulate ideas clearly and influence decision making processes.
Must Have: Minimum Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of TA experience, to include TA Program Management experience; or an advanced degree with 3+ years’ experience
Nice to Have
- Practical knowledge in leading and managing the execution of processes, projects and tactics within HR, preferably Talent Acquisition - including Affirmative Action and EEO plans.
- Advanced knowledge and skills of diversity recruitment practices and conference program management with an understanding of the impact of work on other areas of the organization.
- HR systems including Workday, Taleo, Yello, TalentNeuron, Handshake, SharePoint and Medallia.
- Experience recruiting for various functions (Sales, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory Affairs, and Clinical).
- Proficiency in Human Resources concepts and processes.
- Experience with associations serving veterans and people with disabilities, including service providers, college and university offices, and corporate employment programs for people with disabilities.
- Able to collect, analyze and effectively communicate data/metrics to drive improvements.
- Experience working with a cross-functional team to drive results.
- Strong Project Management experience.
- Worked in a global and matrixed organization.

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.
Min Salary USD: 112,400.00
Max Salary USD: 168,600.00
Travel: Yes, < 50 % of the Time
