About The Role

We are looking for an experienced recruiter with a passion for identifying and bringing top technical talent to innovative organizations. In this 12-month contract role, you will take the lead in identifying and engaging technical talent that will contribute to SmartThings’ ongoing growth and success. You will have the opportunity to partner across teams and play a key role in shaping our workforce. Our ideal candidate thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and enjoys connecting talented professionals with exciting career opportunities.

Key Responsibilities

In this role you will responsible for:

• Sourcing and Recruitment: Identify, source, and engage top talent across various disciplines, including software development, engineering, technical program management, Director and people leaders, and more. 
• Talent Pipeline: Cultivate a proactive pipelines to anticipate hiring needs and streamline recruiting timelines. 
• Candidate Experience: Provide an inclusive, organized, and personally engaging candidate experience, from initial contact through the hiring process.
• Collaboration: Partner closely with hiring managers and other partners to understand their talent needs and provide guidance on recruitment strategies. 
• Assessment and Selection: Conduct candidate interviews, assess skills, and partner with hiring leaders to design the appropriate assessment strategy for each role.
• Recruitment Events: Plan, coordinate and attend career fairs and other recruiting events locally and virtually. 
• Internal Talent Acquisition Consulting: Contribute to the enhancement of our hiring process and candidate experience by participating in or leading projects and initiatives and facilitating learning sessions on inclusive hiring for hiring partners.  
• Community Outreach: Contribute to SmartThings’ employer brand through social media, networking, and engagement with the tech community.

What You Bring On Day One (Required Qualifications)

• 5 years of proven experience as a corporate recruiter, ideally in a fast-paced environment within the tech industry
• Demonstrated success recruiting on challenging technical roles
• Strong sourcing skills and the ability to identify and engage passive candidates
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills
• A passion for creating an exceptional candidate experience 
• A consultative and collaborative approach to internal partnerships
• A passion for diversity, equity and inclusion and knowledge of inclusive recruiting strategies
• Highly organized, efficient, and capable of working autonomously with high integrity
• High emotional intelligence and strong skills in active listening and practicing self-reflection and awareness
• Willingness to lean into projects and initiatives as needed with the People Team 
• Able to give and receive feedback in a blameless environment focused on growing and learning together
• A completed Bachelor's degree

Desired Skills

• Experience recruiting in the Minneapolis tech market strongly preferred
• Experience with Google Suite, ATS systems, LinkedIn Recruiter, and/or other recruitment tools
