The Human Resources Talent Coordinator will work closely with department members to facilitate and accomplish tasks inside the Human Resources Department such as assisting with the full recruiting process for non-attorney positions, new hire onboarding, compiling reports and spreadsheets, entering information into HR Systems, and other administrative duties. Must maintain courteous and professional contact with internal and external clients and observes confidentiality of all matters.

Required Education & Experience

  • High School Diploma.
  • 1-3 years Human Resources experience or equivalent.
  • Strong computer skills required with Microsoft programs, as well as with file document management tools such as FileSite or WorkSite.

Preferred Education & Experience

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or similar degree.
  • Recruiting experience, including proficiency with Applicant Tracking System (ATS), preferred.
  • Experience working in a professional services organization.

  • Recruitment (45%)
    • Be the "face" of the Firm during the recruiting process.
    • Create and manage all job requisitions using ATS system.
    • Confirm accurate job descriptions, job requirements, and salary range information for all positions.
    • Assess and recommend qualified candidates based on credentials. Share feedback with Talent Supervisor.
    • Conduct initial phone screens to further assess top qualified candidates and recommend top candidates to hiring manager.
    • Coordinate and manage the interviewing process.
    • Collect and assess interview feedback. Provide final candidate recommendation to Talent Supervisor.
    • Field and answer questions into the Talent inbox.
    • Process invoices for talent contracted through external agencies.
    • Prepare and transmit offer packet.
  • Onboarding/Offboarding (50%)
    • Administer the hiring and onboarding processes (e.g. including background checks, staff conflict checks, notification forms, E-Verify, etc.).
    • Complete the new hire orientation process (e.g. planning, scheduling, correspondence).
    • Conduct new hire orientation on a rotating basis.
    • Liaise with attorney recruiting team to onboard new and lateral attorneys, including summer and fall associates.
    • Manage the employee termination process.
    • Coordinate with Benefits team to transmit benefits and PTO balance reconciliation for departing employees.
    • Schedule exit interviews.
    • Submit DACs and act as main point of contact for questions, issues, etc.
    • Manage the retirement process – request checks from payroll, create & send letters to managers.
    • Create and maintain employee personnel files.
    • Conduct quarterly audits on employee files.
  • General and Administrative (5%)
    • Assist with Firm events including Staff Appreciation Week, Charitable Giving Campaign, and annual Holiday Party.
    • Handle service anniversary milestones.
    • Act as back up to other HR team members as needed.
    • Performs other duties as assigned for the Human Resources Department, including the Director of Well-Being.

This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Work Environment & Physical Demands

This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.  While performing the responsibilities of the position, these work environment characteristics are representative of the environment the person in this position will encounter. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will work in a professional, fast paced office environment that may require additional hours to complete work.
