Talent Acquisition Specialist

The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for full-cycle recruitment efforts that attract high-quality, diverse talent to Patterson Companies. The TA Specialist will work closely with Leadership and Human Resource Business Partners to understand hiring needs across the business to effectively execute recruitment strategies that ultimately land top talent. The TA Specialist will also participate in the development and enhancement of best-practice processes and strategies that lead to the branding of Patterson Companies as an employer of choice.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing / Marketing

  • Independently builds a candidate pipeline for 2+ functional areas

  • Timely processes active candidates from ATS and employee referrals

  • Utilizes sourcing tools such as Linked In and Indeed to reach passive candidates

Talent Cultivation / Development

  • Communicates status of selection process to applicants and provides them with a positive brand experience

  • Becomes actively involved in industry associations and symposiums to further build relationships with potential talent

  • Implements and supports diversity recruiting efforts

Stakeholder Engagement / Management

  • Collaborates with hiring managers to discuss current and upcoming needs and develops recruitment strategies, utilizing a variety of mediums

  • Partners with HR partners on business initiatives (ie: intern program, onboarding, etc.)

  • Delivers qualified active and passive candidates throughout the hiring process

  • Shares market data with hiring managers to help guide the candidate search and selection process

  • May help with training/educating new managers on process and technology (Workday, Linked In)

Scope

  • Tactical to mid-level professional roles, occasional managerial/leadership level roles

  • Multiple stakeholders from different functions

  • Basic recruiting campaigns

  • Special projects as assigned

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and education required

  • 2+ years of experience in recruiting or human resources

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (Workday strongly preferred)

  • Experience supporting diversity recruiting initiatives

  • Knowledge of talent acquisition related processes, procedures, laws, systems, tools, and technology

  • Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management in the organization

  • Track record of achieving results and meeting department goals and deadlines

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize effectively
