The Office of Human Resources, Center of Expertise seeks an experienced Talent Acquisition Professional 2 or 3 to join our team!

Responsibilities:

  • Partners with hiring managers and HR staff to understand talent needs and expectations and executes recruitment plans and strategies to fill vacant positions.
  • Implements diversity and inclusion strategies throughout the hiring process.
  • Works to promote the U of M employer brand and promotes a positive candidate experience.
  • Analyzes data to measure the effectiveness of recruiting sources and works to ensure overall recruitment objectives are met.
  • Sources active and passive candidates using diversity and inclusion strategies, internal advertising, LinkedIn, databases, job boards, advertisements, social media, and networking.
  • Serves as a resource for hiring managers throughout the search and selection process. Explains implicit bias, methods for conducting successful interviews, assessing talent pools, and ensuring a positive candidate experience.
  • Utilizes the applicant tracking system and assists hiring managers, HR partners, and prospective candidates by answering questions related to the system.
  • Manages special recruitment projects as requested.

Work Environment: Hybrid (1-2 days in office)
Compensation:  We seek a level 2 or 3 professional depending on experience, qualifications, and level—$60,000 - $80,000 annually.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications (please document on resume):
Level 2 -

  • BA or BS degree and at least 2 years of experience.
  • OR a combination of education and experience to equal at least 6 years may be substituted for education requirements.

Level 3 -

  • BA or BS degree and at least 4 years of experience.
  • OR a combination of education and experience to equal at least 8 years may be substituted for education requirements.

Preferred Qualifications (please document on resume):
Levels 2 & 3 -

  • BA or BS degree in HR.
  • At least 2 years of recruitment experience.
