Your Opportunity:

Chewy is looking for a Senior Talent Manager to join our Management Team and lead one (or more) highly impactful enterprise-wide talent management initiatives and programs that enable our leaders to continuously drive higher levels of engagement and performance.   This portfolio will evolve over time.

We are seeking candidates to be within a commutable distance to one of our Chewy hubs (Bellevue, WA, Boston, MA, Minneapolis, MN and Plantation, FL). The ideal candidate will take an enterprise-wide mindset to their work.  They will structure solutions that will enhance the end user experience and will build productive and collaborative relationships across the enterprise.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work closely with the Head of Talent Management to provide input into the broader Talent strategy, annual planning, and resourcing to develop, deliver, and embed talent management programs (e.g., competencies, job leveling, etc.).
  • Collaborate with business leaders, HR Leadership, HRBPs, and other Talent Leaders to define and implement the embedment of our Talent solutions across the enterprise.
  • Define ways to measure the success of these initiatives/offerings that demonstrably improve Chewy’s abilities to attract, engage, retain, and develop high-performing talent.
  • Assist leadership in developing presentations, reports, creating visually appealing communications/marketing strategies, internal updates, intranet stories/posts, and other materials to keep team members engaged throughout the year.
  • Lead ongoing enhancement and execution of core talent practices, including but not limited to – performance management, talent reviews and succession planning.
  • Partner closely with HR COEs and HRBPs to develop an integrated approach to talent initiatives (hiring, internal mobility, succession planning, development, etc.) to support a full talent ecosystem.
  • Develop presentations, reports, visually appealing communications/marketing strategies, internal updates, intranet stories/posts, and other materials to keep stakeholders up to date and engaged throughout the year.
  • Be a true culture champion—continuously assess how best to incorporate Chewy’s Operating Principles into everyday talent practices and business activities
  • Develop and implement project management tools, including communication and change management strategies, as well as success measures for projects related to owned priorities/projects.
  • Lead the scaling and maintenance of organizational effectiveness programs and processes as they are launched and operationalized.
  • Build trusting relationships and partner closely with HR COEs and HRBPs to understand needs and propose relevant and impactful solutions to cultivate a culture where leaders are equipped and empowered to drive high performance on their teams.
  • Define ways to measure the success of initiatives/offerings that demonstrably improve Chewy’s abilities to attract, engage, retain, and develop high-performing talent.
  • Continuously improve the talent lifecycle by gathering feedback, analyzing data, and recommending enhancements based on customer needs and business objectives.
  • Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in talent management.
  • Position may require travel (up to 20%)

What You’ll Need:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience; concentration in Business Administration, Organizational Psychology, Team Effectiveness or Continuous Improvement highly preferred
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in the talent space
  • Specific experience in strategically oriented HR or Talent Management roles
  • Experience with development and delivery of talent programs in a decentralized environment
  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work and communicate constructively with all levels of the organization (Department leaders, managers, individual contributors, talent peers)  
  • Highly proficient in time management, organization, planning and prioritization
  • Proven initiative, positive attitude, team-oriented, self-motivated and highly enthusiastic
  • Proven track record of developing and maintaining productive internal/external relationships across functions
  • Experience managing complex projects and with designing and managing various talent development initiatives
  • Data analysis, reporting and summarizing data for key stakeholders
  • Managing workflows in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple stakeholders while maintaining focus on key priorities despite conflicting demands
  • Experience with change management and process improvement
