Location Description

Hopkins, MN is home to our Michael Foods, Inc. corporate headquarters. Hopkins is located 7 miles west of Minneapolis, boasting natural surroundings in a suburban environment that also provides quick access to major travel ways and local restaurants that give our community a distinct character. Responsibilities

The Sr. Recruiter position is responsible to create and execute recruiting strategy to fill and retain maintenance talent. Determine, communicate, and implement what is required short term and long term to fill open maintenance roles. Utilize experienced maintenance professionals to partner in executing approved plan. Provide support and coach supply chain locations with the hourly maintenance recruiting programs to aide in establishing a pipeline.  This position will manage the military recruiting program nationwide.  The individual in the position must possess considerable skill in interviewing techniques, a good knowledge of all functions in the company, a basic understanding of the company's organizational structure as well as an extensive knowledge of personnel policy and procedure and federal and state laws regarding employment practices.

  • Fills salaried and hourly maintenance positions within the supply chain.
  • Develops and supervises recruitment strategies for salaried and hourly maintenance positions.
  • Uses traditional and nontraditional resources, such as career fairs, online job fairs, community network events, etc., to identify and attract quality candidates.
  • Develops advertising programs (internal and external) to ensure high visibility with potential candidates.
  • Builds a relationship nationwide with military facilities and organizations to create pipelines.
  • Works closely with the recruiters in the assigned facilities to share best practices, assists on critical needs, and coordinate on multiple-site initiatives.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with college, university, community college placement offices as a source to generate qualified applicants.
  • Develops and maintains professional relationships with technical schools
  • Directs the efforts of employment agencies and search firms, including negotiating and controlling employment-related fees.
  • Schedules and attends job/career fairs with appropriate staff to generate qualified applicants.

Qualifications
  • 5+ years full cycle corporate recruiting/sourcing experience preferred.
  • Prior experience recruiting maintenance personnel and experience recruiting military personnel preferred.
  • Military experience preferred. Understanding of Military Occupational Specialties and DD 214s preferred.
  • Maintenance experience preferred. Understanding of Predictive Maintenance and/or Asset Reliability preferred.
  • Social media, Indeed and LinkedIn recruitment experience preferred.
  • Proficient in MS Office to include Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, ATS and CRM platforms.
  • Highly organized with an ability to work under tight deadlines and with little direction.
  • Ability to handle multiple responsibilities and adapt to changing priorities.
