North Risk’s Employee Relations #oneTEAM is currently seeking a driven and enthusiastic Talent Acquisition Specialist. This position is responsible for the overall talent acquisition within North Risk Partners. The Talent Acquisition Specialist will manage full-cycle recruitment including sourcing, attracting, interviewing, hiring, and onboarding top talent in the market. This position will work with department supervisors and the leadership team to collaborate on the company talent acquisition strategy for each position. In addition to talent acquisition, this position is also responsible for overall candidate experience, developing and overseeing the internship programs for both sales and service, and #oneTEAM orientation.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identify and maintain sourcing strategies to attract qualified applicants by using a variety of channels and modes to continuously network and build a pipeline for North Risk Partners.
  • Source candidates through a variety of current and emerging processes and technologies including electronic and other channels such as, but not limited to:

                o Professional networking and social media sites (e.g., LinkedIn)

                o Local networking opportunities (i.e., community job boards, college boards and events, chambers, etc.)

                o Employee referrals

  • Oversee the execution of all recruitment and hiring activities including:

                o Create, post, and manage all job postings and recruiting advertisements.

                o Review resumes, conduct screening interviews, and assess applicants for open positions.

  • Coordinate interviews throughout each stage of the interview process across North Risk offices and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.
  • Partner with Employee Relations Business Partners, leaders, supervisors, and members of the leadership team to identify specific department and organizational needs targeting current and future vacancies or hard to fill positions.
  • Maintain good perspective and job knowledge within the various departments to understand business functions and strategic plans to develop a forward-thinking approach in the recruitment process.
  • Serve as the leader and owner of the onboarding experience for #oneTEAM members including #oneTEAM orientation, onboarding plan, and overall onboarding experience.
  • Create and maintain an internal recruitment SharePoint site for recruitment materials as a resource for internal supervisors. 
  • Create and maintain analytics specific to recruitment strategies, targeted job postings, internal employee referrals, and source of online applications. Communicate with leadership to provide talent acquisition metrics as needed.
  • Research and create partnerships with local community groups and professional organizations.
  • Establish a strategy and manage the planning and execution of recruitment events, including career fairs and high school and college classroom speaking opportunities, and represent the company at career and recruiting events.
  • Track, manage and continuously promote the internal referral process for team members.
  • Coordinate with Employee Relations Business Partners to execute job offers and transition candidates to onboarding.
  • Partner with the communications department to develop creative materials for recruitment.
  • Audit declined job offers and compare trends within them.
  • Support in the maintenance of employee files by filing new hire and offboarding paperwork.

SECONDARY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform miscellaneous projects and complete various tasks within the Employee Relations team as requested by management.

Requirements

JOB SPECIFICATIONS

Education, Experience, and Certifications

  • A combination of education and experience generally attained through a bachelor’s degree in human resource management or related field and a minimum of 3+ years of active professional recruitment experience in a professional environment. 
  • Insurance industry knowledge and experience is a plus, but not required.
  • Working knowledge of standard technology, including core Microsoft Office products: Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint; and proficient with utilizing HRIS systems and applicant tracking software.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

  • Perform under normal office conditions; may include lifting/carrying objects weighing up to 25 pounds.
  • Twist, bend, stoop, kneel, squat, stand, walk, and reach frequently.
  • Hear, speak, and effectively verbally communicate in the English language, including following oral and written instructions in order to communicate with people inside and outside of the organization.
  • Sit and a desk for extended periods of time and perform long hours of work sitting at a computer.
  • Move around office/building/facilities repeatedly throughout the day.
  • Apply manual dexterity, visual acuity and ability, for computer keyboarding, office equipment uses, review of detailed reports, information, fine print, and warning labels.
  • Must possess valid driver’s license and be able to travel to different North Risk Partners locations for meetings, as well as various locations throughout the state and potentially the region for client meetings.
  • Able to work a flexible work schedule, including overtime, nights, and weekends to attend events and meetings as needed.

TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

  • Incumbents must be able to use telephone, calculator, copy machines, computers, printers, and other office equipment.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • The work environment is primarily indoors. Exposure to a variety of weather conditions during work related travel and events held outside of the workplace will occur.
