The Talent Acquisition Manager is equal parts strategic and tactical and is responsible for developing and executing the talent acquisition strategy for the organization. Success is meeting the organizations staffing goals in a cost efficient and timely manner. Real opportunity for growth is found in identifying gaps in the organization and then working collaboratively to fill those gaps. In addition, the Talent Acquisition Manager leads and manages the full lifecycle recruitment and pre-employment onboarding process for most positions throughout the company.

Essential Responsibilities of the Role

  • Lead end-to-end talent acquisition strategy for Sun Country Airlines. Establish relationships and partnership with key business and HR leaders to understand their talent needs, develop strategies to meet these needs, and drive accountability in recruiting and selection.
  • Build a stellar talent acquisition organization that flexes and scales with business needs. Directly manage a local recruiting team and oversee a network of recruiting vendors to ensure accountability for all key performance metrics.
  • Develop and implement strategies, processes and guidelines to find, attract and hire talent needed to drive Sun Country's growth and transformation goals.
  • Identify and implement best-in-class practices that improve assessment, selection, interviewing and closing techniques for recruiters, hiring managers and interviewers. Partner with our talent and learning team to build people development programs to improve interviewing and assessment skills across the company.
  • Partner with corporate diversity & inclusion on building and delivering an effective diversity recruiting strategy. Partner to educate the business on initiatives that drive high impact diverse hiring practices.
  • Modernize the recruiting process, infrastructure, and overall hiring experience. Redefine the candidate experience from candidate sourcing to offer acceptance to enhance both candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Develop and implement mechanisms to regularly inspect and monitor productivity, cost and satisfaction KPIs. Use data to inform critical decisions ranging from talent forecasting to offer acceptance. Properly balance TA production metrics with talent quality and candidate/hiring manger experience.
  • Develop and implement a plan for candidate sourcing and ecosystem development to increase the reach and recognition of Sun Country's to attract candidates across a wide range of functions and regions.

Qualifications for the Role

  • 8+ years experience of in-house recruiting
  • 2+ years of team and project leadership experience
  • ATS Experience, UKG a plus
  • Change management experience, inclusive of definition, execution, and communications skills required to lead a recruiting organization through transformation affecting processes, skills, technology, and overall performance of the function. Demonstrated strengths in developing others, leading through uncertainty and ambiguity, leveraging innovation, growth mindset and systems thinking.
  • The gravitas necessary to influence and work efficiently with leadership team members. Capacity to positively influence the direction of teams that support or depend on the recruiting organization.
  • Analytical mindset and ability and inclination to deep dive into recruiting operations. Proven experience understanding data and making data-driven decisions.
  • Interest in people development and ability to development a new set of capabilities for recruiters and leaders to find candidates who are meet our skill requirements.
  • Experience understanding and engaging talent from early career to experienced executive levels
  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills, including presenting, negotiation and influencing skills.
  • Strong preference for candidates with experience in customer-centric and fast moving organizations, and demonstrated expertise in acquiring quality talent.
