Position Summary

This position will be responsible for working with the Director, Talent Acquisition to develop strategies to attract top talent for Kraus-Anderson Construction Company (KACC). The Recruiter is responsible for effectively and efficiently performing all related activities for the sourcing, recruiting, screening and interviewing of internal and external candidates for KACC roles specifically, Project Mangers, Superintendents and Estimators.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Engages with hiring managers to understand the role and needs of the business.
  • Sources and reviews resumes and credentials for appropriateness of skills, experience, and knowledge in relation to position requirements and business needs.
  • Reviews applicants, completes initial candidate screens and makes recommendations on candidates to interview.
  • Participates in applicant interviews, includes hiring manager or others as needed.
  • Develops and executes creative sourcing and recruiting strategies to attract top talent.
  • Develops and sustains an active network of diverse candidates.
  • Develops talent pipelines for key roles.
  • Coordination and support of KACC Fall & Spring Campus recruitment events.
  • Coordination and support of summer internship program.
  • Performs outreach including job fairs and other recruitment events, social media engagement, and email.
  • Works with hiring manager and Senior Manager, Total Rewards to ensure accurate job descriptions are posted.
  • Formulates and posts job opportunity advertisements.
  • Assists with developing effective hiring processes.
  • Provides an exceptional candidate and hiring manager experience.
  • Communicates with candidates and hiring managers at every step of the hiring process to keep them informed.
  • Updates statuses and maintains other information in our databases.
  • Builds and maintains partnerships with Director, Talent Acquisition and others as needed.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

  • 2-4 year’s recruiting experience
  • Demonstrated computer proficiency (MS Office – Word, Excel and Outlook) and experience with Applicant Tracking Systems
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including ability to effectively communicate with internal and external customers
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines, while maintaining a positive attitude and providing exemplary customer service
  • Ability to use time productively, maximize efficiency and meet challenging work goals
  • Must be highly organized and able to work independently with little direction
  • Ability to maintain compliance with all company policies and procedures
  • Ability to possess and maintain exceptional work ethic as well as uphold company values and demand the highest standard of conduct from self and others
  • Flexibility to adjust to changing priorities and deadlines

Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • Experience recruiting operations roles within the Construction Industry is strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of ADP Recruiting software
  • Experience with sourcing recruiting tools (Linked In, Indeed, Handshake)

Other:

  • Valid Driver's License, ability to maintain a satisfactory Motor Vehicle Record, and ability to adhere to the KA Motor Vehicle Policy. 
  • Limited travel
