As an Executive Search Strategist, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional talent at the highest level of our organization. You will lead strategy and recruitment for VP and above searches, interacting directly with executives to understand their business, culture, and talent needs. You will implement diverse and functional Talent Acquisition and Talent Management strategies, providing perspective and counsel on the full talent landscape, both internal and external. This includes proactive pipelining, market expertise, and building a strong talent network. You will play a critical role in helping the business scale and positioning it to strategically consult on talent decisions. Additionally, you will deliver an elevated experience for candidates and stakeholders throughout the recruiting and hiring process.

This is an exciting opportunity to influence the executive search and hiring landscape at Medtronic. You will lead and define innovative ways to raise the bar on how Medtronic executes search and captures top talent.

This position can reside in any of our US Medtronic office locations or work remote.

A Day in the Life

Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned.

Lead a Strong Executive Search Program

  • Own and execute VP and above searches for assigned business and/or functional areas of expertise
  • Serve as a strategic partner and trusted advisor to internal clients and stakeholders
  • Manage all aspects of the search process, including search strategy, candidate development and management, interview and selection process, pre-close, offer negotiation, and client management
  • Lead strategy and status meetings to gain a comprehensive understanding of client group and search requirements, ensuring an understanding of business strategy and critical skills and background required for prospective hires
  • Define and manage a search plan with clear deliverables, timelines, and ongoing status updates ensuring speed/pace/quality of hire is met
  • Develop innovative recruitment strategies that leverage multiple channels to execute searches quickly while finding the right talent for both active roles and pipelining
  • Evaluate prospective candidates for specific roles as well as broader company opportunities
  • Manage applicant tracking and data for report creation, scorecards, and metrics analysis

Superior Internal and External Relationship Management

  • Serve as a consultant to senior leadership, providing expertise on market trends, diversity initiatives, and best practices to influence proactive, creative approaches to talent identification that expands beyond traditional talent pools
  • Collaborate with Talent Management to identify and implement internal and external talent initiatives, providing perspective on the full talent landscape
  • Partner with Executive Search Team, HR Partners, and Hiring Leaders to develop, implement, and drive overall search strategy aligned to VP Governance
  • Effectively manage and build relationships with Executives, participating in leadership meetings to provide counsel and proactive identification of external talent needs
  • Help manage search firm engagements and partnerships, ensuring an effective process and positive candidate/client experience

Pipeline Management

  • Leverage research and network to establish diverse candidate pipelines, identifying and engaging talent in anticipation of long-term hiring needs
  • Partner closely with Talent Management to understand talent gaps, future source talent, build/maintain pipelines, and help place internal candidates into new roles

Candidate Experience and Program Optimization

  • Advise prospective candidates throughout the talent acquisition life cycle, developing and maintaining relationships to ensure a positive experience and strong talent network
  • Provide best-in-class candidate care throughout the recruiting process
  • Support and lead continued optimization of our VP governance program to ensure a seamless and world-class experience for candidates and internal stakeholders

Must Have: Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree with 15+ years of experience in Talent Acquisition, including VP executive-level search/recruiting experience, or, an advanced degree with13+ years of experience

  • Experience with Taleo, Workday, LinkedIn Recruiter, Eightfold, MS Teams
  • HR/TA/CIR Certifications
  • Experience sourcing diverse talent using creative strategies and a wide range of channels
  • Experience recruiting in the medical technology and device industry
  • Executive Search Firm/Agency Sr Exec recruiting or sourcing experience

The provided base salary range is used nationally in the United States (except in Puerto Rico and certain CA locations). The rate offered is compliant with federal/local regulations and may vary by experience, certification/education, market conditions, location, etc.

Min Salary: 165,600.00

Max Salary: 248,400.00
