As a Strategic Talent Partner, the role is responsible for partnering with business leaders to develop and implement strategic people initiatives that support the organization's long-term goals and objectives, with a focus on scalability. The role requires a deep understanding of the business landscape and the ability to align people strategies with business needs, while ensuring that these strategies can be scaled as the organization grows and evolves. The role will primarily work alongside the Corporate and Commercial leaders and their teams and partner with the Sr. Director-Strategic HR and rest of the HR leadership team.
Location and Travel Requirements:
- This is a hybrid position and is ideally located in the Minneapolis-St. Paul Metropolitan area.
- Travel expectations are at least 20%.
Primary Job Accountabilities:
- Working with business leaders to understand the organization's strategic direction and identifying people initiatives that support this direction, while also considering the organization's scalability needs.
- Developing and implementing people strategies that align with the organization's culture, values, and business goals, while also ensuring that these strategies can be simplified and scaled as the organization grows.
- Collaborating with business leaders and colleagues to identify talent gaps and develop talent management strategies that address these gaps, while also considering the organization's scalability needs.
- Providing guidance and coaching to leaders on talent related issues, including performance management, disciplinary actions, and conflict resolution, with a focus on developing scalable processes and practices and developing the leadership capabilities.
- Partnering with the people team to develop and deliver training and development programs that support the organization's talent development goals, while also ensuring that these programs can be scaled as the organization grows.
- Conducting data analysis and reporting to identify trends and make recommendations for improvement in people processes and practices, with a focus on developing scalable solutions.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant employment laws and regulations, as well as the organization's policies and procedures
- Partner with the Learning & Change Partner to implement simple change management practices across the organization.
Minimum Qualifications:
- The ability to work seamlessly in a decentralized organizational model is key, including being comfortable with ambiguity in a fast paced/high growth-environment
- Ability to motivate, influence and optimize working relationships with senior leadership and other internal and external stakeholders; ability to challenge conventional wisdom/thought processes and approach
- Excellent communicator and collaborator, with the ability to build trusting relationships, manage stakeholder expectations and influence colleagues across all levels of the company
- Strong business acumen with the ability to incorporate talent strategies and initiatives into company or business goals and objectives with a focus on simplicity and business need
- Strong change management and project management skills, with demonstrated ability to operationalize and scale programs focused on Talent
- Excellent writer and public speaker
- Strong analytical skills and ability to translate metrics, research, and trends into strategy and improvement opportunities
- Attention to detail and a highly organized, process-focused aptitude are required to manage the variety of responsibilities and deliverables
Preferred Qualifications:
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience working specifically in an HRBP capacity or similar talent role.
