The primary function of this position is to maintain and enhance methods and processes in the recruitment and retention of Magnum drivers for all divisions.

Essential Job Functions:

  1. Full-cycle recruiting for open driver positions (Job Posting, Interviewing, Job Offers and Onboarding)
  2. Partner with hiring managers to develop strategies to proactively recruit and meet hiring needs
  3. Network with appropriate schools and attend job fairs on a consistent basis to build relationships, recruit new employees and grow our dock-to-driver program
  4. Receive and respond timely to all inquiries regarding employment by phone, email or other means
  5. Review applications, interview candidates, and work with hiring manager(s) to select qualified individuals
  6. Partner with HR to conduct required background reports, including DAC, MVR, PSP, and criminal background reports on qualified candidates
  7. Coordinate the pre-employment drug and alcohol screening process and schedule new employees for orientation, (including transportation and hotel/lodging arrangements if need be.)
  8. Ensure all hiring qualifications are met and required documentation is obtained prior to hire

Required Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and Work Characteristics:

  1. Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment, DOT and FMCSA laws/regulations
  2. High level of interpersonal skills to handle sensitive and confidential situations and documents
  3. Knowledge of applicable federal and state employment laws/regulations
  4. Ability to multi-task, establish priorities and meet deadlines
  1. Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal skills
  2. Detail oriented with strong organizational skills
  3. Ability to work independently and work in fast paced environment

Education/Experience:

High school diploma/GED required. Must have experience in the transportation industry. Post-secondary education is a plus.
