As a Technical Recruiter for Patterson Companies, you will be a dedicated partner to leaders across our Software Engineering function to development and implement a talent acquisition strategy to source and hire diverse technical talent.  In this role you will apply advanced sourcing skills to find passive candidates, build talent pools for future roles and build relationships with internal stakeholders as well as external organizations to stay informed on current industry trends within the software engineering and information technology space.

Technical  Recruiter Responsibilities:

  • Create sourcing strategies and recommendations for finding top technical talent, including but not limited to: planning, sourcing, screening, selection and hiring IT and techical talent across multiple locations in the United States.
  • Utilize a wide range of traditional and non-traditional sourcing techniques, including industry events, career fairs, social channels, professional networks, internet mining, or conducting competitive research and market analysis.
  • Coordinate with technical engineering and software team leaders to develop a forecast, understand department goals and national hiring needs.
  • Identifies talent acquisition challenges and utilizes sourcing strategies that exist in the marketplace to develop recruiting efforts that effectively generate quality IT and technical talent.
  • Attract applicants by sourcing through job boards, social channels, professional organizations, etc.
  • Liaises between department managers and staffing vendors to effectively place qualified staff.
  • Develop strong relationships and communications with candidates throughout the full-cycle recruitment process.
  • Identify opportunities to refine the talent acquisition processes to improve efficiencies and the candidate experience.
  • Ensures regulatory aspects of the full-cycle recruitment process are compliant with federal and state legislation (OFCCP)
  • Other duties/functions as necessary.

Basic Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 3+ years’ experience in technical or IT recruiting within the TA or agency space.
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent education and experience.
  • Thorough understanding of technology, technical roles and technical skills.
  • Proven track record of sourcing and hiring nationwide passive and active technical candidates.
  • Ability to attract and build relationships with candidates through a variety of channels including recruitment technology and social media.
  • Ability to work with and influence all levels of management in the organization.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of agency recruiting experience is ideal, but not required.
  • Strong working knowledge of Applicant Tracking System, Workday preferred.
  • Active engagement within technical community, workshops, events, organizations, etc.
  • Experience supporting diversity recruiting initiatives strongly preferred.
  • Process improvement experience highly preferred.
