Gurstel Law Firm, P.C. (hereinafter “the Firm”) is a multi-state litigation law firm representing creditors in all aspects of the legal collection process. The Firm is headquartered in Minnesota with offices in Arizona, California, Iowa, Nebraska, Nevada, Utah, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.

Gurstel Law Firm P.C. is currently looking to hire a Corporate Recruiter. The successful candidate will be a team-player, have a high level of attention to detail, and help direct and coordinate the recruitment and hiring process. 

JOB SUMMARY: The Corporate Recruiter will research, develop, and implement effective recruiting and staffing strategies to attract a diverse pool of qualified and capable talent for the Firm. This position is responsible for filling open positions for the Firm and conducting the process from the stage of locating potential applicants via various sources, such as social media or resume banks, to interviewing and offering positions to qualified applicants.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Develops, facilitates, and implements all phases of the recruitment process.
  • Collaborates with department managers to identify and draft detailed and accurate job descriptions and hiring criteria.
  • Identifies and implements efficient and effective recruiting methods and strategies based on the available role, industry standards, and the needs of the organization.
  • Locate qualified, potential applicants using databases or online job posting boards
  • Screens applications and selects qualified candidates.
  • Schedules interviews; oversees preparation of interview questions and other hiring and selection materials.
  • Assists with the interview process, attending and conducting interviews with managers, directors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborates with the hiring manager and/or other human resource staff during the offer process, identifying and recommending salary ranges, incentives, start dates, and other pertinent details.
  • Ensures compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and company policies.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with colleges and local organizations to participate in job fairs or networking events
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED SKILLS / ABILITIES:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with good negotiation tactics.
  • Ability to create and implement sourcing strategies for recruitment for a variety of roles.
  • Proactive and independent with the ability to take initiative.
  • Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
  • Familiarity with laws, regulations, and best practices applicable to hiring and recruitment.
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems and social media applications.
  • Excellent analytical skills to track metrics and interpret data for strategic recruiting campaigns.
  • An impeccable public image, including on social media.
  • Availability to travel within the United States to attend job fairs and networking events.
  • Ability to work under pressure and prioritize in a demanding, fast-paced environment with strict deadlines.
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE

  • Significant recruiting experience for a high-volume organization, agency, or executive search firm strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related field, or equivalent work experience, preferred. 
  • 1-3 years managing all phases of the recruitment and hiring process highly preferred.
  • Marketing background a plus
  • SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP preferred.
  • SHRMs Talent Acquisition Specialty Credential a plus.
