Talent Acquisition Manager

In this role you will lead a team of Recruiters who are responsible for Talent Acquisition for our Manufacturing businesses for Land O'Lakes. This role develops creative and diverse sourcing strategies for talent through effective team leadership, marketplace insights, and understanding of employment branding.  Strong recruitment project management to lead key talent acquisition initiatives through hiring manager and leadership partnerships is critical to success in this position.

This position can be remote (virtual) and can be located anywhere in the USA. or located in the Land O'Lakes Headquarters office in Arden Hills, MN


  • Manage the team members assigned to salaried and hourly roles, with regular leadership support, hiring and performance management, ongoing development managing resources and managing reporting and metrics

  • Partner with business leaders and human resources to translate business needs into talent needs

  • Act as a talent advisor influencing staffing decisions with acute knowledge of the organization and deep expertise of external labor markets. Able to recognize and delivers different skill required across Supply Chain

  • Provide value-added recruitment related advice to hiring managers and influence talent decisions

  • Provide hands-on recruitment support for high level or difficult to fill positions

  • Represent Land O’ Lakes at internal and external recruiting events

  • Manage key stakeholder communications including reporting and analytics

  • Participate on cross-functional teams

  • Leverage functional and industry expertise, networks, analytics, and market trends to inform talent initiatives


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field or equivalent experience

  • 8 years Recruitment experience leading and conducting hands on full-cycle recruitment for a range of positions, levels and business/functional areas, especially non-exempt and difficult-to-fill roles

  • 5+ years managing employees, including forming, developing, and leading high performing teams

  • Experience researching and implementing successful diversity hiring initiatives

  • Experience running recruitment projects strongly desired

  • Superior relationship building skills with people at all levels and with internal and external customers, partners, and vendors

  • A passion for superior candidate and manager experience 

  • Experience with applicant tracking systems (ATS), preferably with Workday

  • Candidate Relationship Management (CRM) system experience preferred

  • Experience with compliant hiring practices
