PURPOSE: To perform all aspects of the full hiring cycle, including but not limited to: recruitment, selection, interviewing and offering of employment to high quality candidates for non-exempt level positions.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSBILITIES:
- Interviews internal and external applicants ensuring legal compliance during all phases of the hiring process
- Extends offers of employment to suitable candidates in a timely manner while accurately completing all paperwork and documentation requirements
- Facilitates second interviews with departments and works closely with hiring managers to ensure the best hiring decisions are made
- Works closely with departments to ensure their staffing needs are being met and coordinates training for new hires
- Coordinates and updates various training/benefits schedules and tracking spreadsheets
- Reviews applications and conducts phone screens for assigned positions
- Creates and maintains training guides for all phases of the hiring process
- Updates weekly internal and external job postings
- Maintains weekly employment services tracking of all candidate interactions
- Builds and maintains relationships with colleges, high schools, and community organizations to promote MOA as a top employer
- Research, Register, and attend local job fairs
- Creates and attends various internal and external recruiting events, representing MOA as an employer of choice
- Coordinates all recruiting activities to ensure an effective use of time, money, and labor is being utilized to attract high quality candidates
- Acts as a resource for hiring managers inquiring about company policies
- Provides backup to the Human Resources Assistant when needed
- Regular, reliable and consistent attendance
- Performs other duties as assigned
- Maintains eI-9 compliance
- Updates web content for MOA employment website
- Maintains current requisition list
- Manages and coordinates multiple MOA job fairs annually
- Acts as site administrator for applicant tracking system by maintaining requisition and approval processes
- Assumes leadership role in Employment Services when manager is unavailable
- Ability to travel
PREFERRED SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND ABILITIES:
- Must be 18 years of age or older
- College degree with a Human Resources emphasis preferred
- 1-2 years previous experience in staffing/recruiting preferred
- Strong organization skills
- Excellent interpersonal, communication and multi-tasking skills required.
- Basic knowledge of Employment Law preferred
- Proficient in computer skills including Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel)
