The Recruiter is responsible for the full candidate life cycle, turning profile requirements into effective sourcing strategies, using an appropriate combination of direct sourcing and referrals to approach, attract and develop candidate interest. Work hand in hand with candidates and internal clients guiding both efficiently through our robust hiring process, synthesizing feedback from assessors and threading together a story line to determine the viability of a candidate’s success, while providing consistent reporting to leadership on pipelines and progress against your goals. Subject matter expert globally across Sun Country and will develop and share best practices on our hiring processes. Participate in recruiting related projects to set best practices and will work to identify and recommend improvement opportunities.
Essential Functions
- Collaborating with leadership and hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs, providing advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process
- Collaborating with internal stakeholders to ensure budget, compensation, and onboarding compliance
- Communicate and report effectively to all internal stakeholders on job requisition status and updates
- Developing a thorough understanding of company and value proposition in order to qualify candidates and articulate the business
- Execute OFFCP compliance within the applicant tracking system
- Managing full life cycle recruiting; setting interview strategies, interviewing and preparing and negotiating offer letters
- Building and maintaining network of potential candidates through proactive market research, industry contacts, association memberships, and employee referrals
- Creating effective sourcing strategies and techniques using an appropriate combination of direct sourcing, social recruiting and other relevant passive recruitment methods
- Developing and driving an engaging and positive candidate experience
- Serving as a knowledgeable, personable ambassador of the company at conferences, career fairs and other networking events
- Attends trainings and webinars to stays up-to-date on recruiting trends, changing regional talent, and sourcing strategies
- Selection and management of social media/recruiting systems

- Knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.)
- Minimum of three years of recruiting experience, preferably 1+ year specialized. This can include school coursework, internships, certificates and other relevant HR/Recruiting experience and training
- High school diploma/GED or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications:
SHRM or PHR Certification
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology or equivalent experience preferred
- Experience recruiting specialized talent
- Airline/Aviation experience
