Our growth company is seeking a leader of Talent Acquisition to lead and advance Sleep Number’s Talent Acquisition Center of Excellence through recruiting and sourcing strategies that align to our strategic priorities, mission, vision, and values.
We will trust this leader to build upon our strong foundation by advancing existing talent acquisition processes while developing new strategies in this fast-changing talent marketplace. This role requires a continuous improvement mindset to define future workforce strategies, lead high volume staffing goals and champion diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of talent attraction, selection and hiring.
This leader will improve interview skills and talent assessment effectiveness throughout the enterprise. This leader will be comfortable leveraging technology to improve scale and candidate experience. This leader will build and nurture constructive business partnerships while educating our hiring leaders on important market trends and selection methods. This leader will ensure Sleep Number’s external employer brand matches our customer brand and internal team member brand to remain leading edge in the health and wellness space. This leader will implement talent metrics to inspire performance of the talent acquisition team and inform recruitment investments and decisions.

Primary Responsibilities:
Responsible for leading the strategic direction of our talent acquisition capabilities including technology solutions, recruitment marketing, recruitment operations, campus and community relations, high-volume recruitment, and also the recruitment of highly skilled positions.
Attract, develop, and engage talent acquisition professionals to provide a best-in-class experience to both candidates and leaders. Review and refine our high volume staffing models and approaches in partnership with business leaders. Identify new and sustainable candidate streams through strategic partnerships. Anticipate adjustments to hiring forecasts as business trends change and leverage outside partnerships, as necessary.
Champion diversity, equity and inclusion in attraction and selection by leading best practice identification strategies to continuously improve delivering diverse slates and hires. Partner with human resource business partners and hiring managers to build talent pipelines of skilled and diverse candidates.
Provide strategic partnership to business leaders to develop staffing strategies that fits their team’s individual needs. Apply nimble learning and experiments to remain agile in the changing talent marketplace. Analyze hiring performance to inform adjustments to hiring strategies to optimize resources and investments.
Advance Sleep Number’s attraction practices, including developing a best in class interview process and experience leveraging values and competencies. Provide a best-in-class education and experience for leaders to ensure they are equipped to interview and select top talent.
Responsible for developing and driving talent acquisition metrics and trend analysis. Frequently share metrics and performance with partners and the business to demonstrate transparency. Leverage metrics and performance for coaching and team development. Partner with hiring leaders, HR business partners and HR leadership peers to take action based on proper use of analysis.
Stay current with employment trends, technology and design talent acquisition processes to fit the new world of work including remote and partially remote hiring and onboarding experiences and an internal talent marketplace.
Strategically connect Sleep Number with the most appropriate partnership networks for mutual benefit. Serve as expert in defining new talent avenues for difficult to find skills sets.
Manage all aspects of team performance and development of direct reports to encourage professional growth.

Experience, Education & Certifications:
BA or BS required, preferably in a related area. Advanced degree preferred.
12+ years of experience in a fast-paced organization
7+ years of Talent acquisition or HR team leadership experience.
Knowledge, skills & abilities:
Proven track record of delivering results both individually and through others.
Demonstrated leadership skills including the ability to build consensus and influence across levels within the organization
Business acumen and analytical thought leader; ability to effectively utilize data to drive action
Financial acumen including budget management and contract expertise
Ability to be flexible and handle multiple projects in an organized, timely manner
Excellent negotiating, problem solving, process improvement, communication and interpersonal skills
Able to achieve results in a fast-past, ever-changing environment
Team-oriented with ability to work in an integrated organization; ability to build strong partnerships
Demonstrated courage and integrity; ability to build trust and rapport with all levels of the organization

Working Conditions:
Ability to work remotely.
Must be able to work on the computer for up to 8 hours per day.
