Purpose/Scope:
Responsible for developing and fostering ongoing collaborative and effective working relationships with business leaders and HR partners by providing full life cycle recruitment support with a focus on meeting staffing requirements for salaried and administrative positions.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Implementation and administration of recruitment programs
Conduct initial application/resume review, screening interviews, telephone interviews, and/or face-to-face interviews with prospective applicants
Make recommendations to hiring manager on candidate hire and facilitate negotiations with candidates
Leverage various resources - internet, social media, community organizations, print media, formal/informal networks, referrals, colleges, trade associations - to directly and indirectly source qualified candidates
Maintain accurate and concise records and reports concerning all phases of the recruitment process, working within the Applicant Tracking System (ATS) and HRIS tools
Maintain consistent standards for all applicants and maintain compliance with all local rules and regulations related to hiring and recruiting
Promote the Company image to candidates and external service providers
Manage and advise on Executive level searches with recruiting vendors as necessary
Create a positive and efficient candidate experience during the recruitment process
Identify and execute on opportunities to positively impact diversity hiring initiatives
Stay current with industry and staffing trends including relevant companies and competitor data
Serve as subject matter expert to line of business regarding recruiting process and standard methodologies
Consult with business leaders to enhance the existing recruitment process
Drive campus and full-time recruiting activity for salaried and administrative openings
Maintain measurable data to support recruiting results
Review and interpret assessments taken by candidates during the interview process.
Manage college internship program
Facilitate a variety of recruiting initiatives and special marketing projects as needed throughout the year
Basic Qualifications:
Three (3) to five (5) + years of recruiting experience for salaried and/or administrative positions
BA/BS in Human Resources or related field
Other Required Qualifications:
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures, including an understanding of legal and OFCCP recruiting requirements
Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in different time zones and locations
Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Ability to interview effectively and assess interview results
Good attention to detail
Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and meet timelines on deliverables
Ability to handle and maintain confidential information
Preferred Qualifications:
Salaried/technical recruiting experience in a corporate or agency environment
Experience with college recruiting and managing internship programs
Internet sourcing experience to include competitive market research, cold calling, networking, negotiating and closing candidates
Additional experience doing full-cycle recruiting in a manufacturing/construction organization
Physical Requirements:
Ability to travel
Office: Move 25lbs (not for all jobs, reasonable accommodations will be made), work with a computer for extended periods of time
Work Environment:
This position works in office and plant environments with occasional travel and visits to field construction sites as well as job fairs and college campus settings
Office: Quiet with some ambient noise, climate controlled, fluorescent lighting
Field: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles
Plant/Yard: All types of weather conditions (year-round, Mid-west and Northeast), dirt/dust, noise from heavy machinery/vehicles, vibrations from machinery and vehicles, loud noises, little to no climate control, varying amounts of light, stairs, narrow walkways
