This role will act as superglue to support each of the functional areas of the Caribou Coffee People and Culture team.  This position is a critical component of linking together the functional teams and will offer fluctuating backup throughout the year to ensure world class support for our Coffee Shops.

To ensure success in this role, the coordinator must have an entrepreneurial spirit and the ability to manage multiple tasks at a time.  At Caribou, we take our coffee seriously, not ourselves.  We believe that our team and our brand are uniquely positioned to create day-making experiences that spark a chain reaction of GOOD....both domestically and around the world.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

General HR

  • Manage employment verifications, including working with vendor to escalate requests.

  • Manage the unemployment process, including responses and monthly utilization reporting.

  • Support with first tier hr tickets, including password resets, general system/process navigation, and resource support.

  • Manage paper and electronic file process, including pulling resources for legal partners.

  • Manage I-9 and E-Verify process, including follow up with field partners as needed for audits and completion requests.

  • Other projects as need to support across the group.

  • Occasionally, act as a backup for administrative and reception partners when needed.

Training

  • Support with content management prior to publishing training.

  • Support general user access and navigation needs for the Learning Management System (LMS).

Recruiting

  • Support the talent pipeline for field team members.

  • Post open positions within our applicant tracking system and to other relevant job boards and channels.

  • Coordinate orientations for the Support Center, including scheduling and content delivery.

  • Coordinate interviews for the Support Center as needed.

Total Rewards

  • Administer and maintain work/life programs and initiatives, such as sabbaticals, tuition assistance, and adoption assistance.

  • Manage monthly benefit billing and reporting.

Loss Prevention/Employee Relations

  • Support with ordering keys, access codes, and other related store security items.

  • Facilitate intake, prioritization, and escalation of Employee Relations tickets

  • Manage intake process for Leaves of Absence, including response to initial demand for FMLA requests.

Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:

  • Must embrace that Team, Guest, and Quality is our focus.

  • Agility, sound judgment, independent thinking, follow-through, and initiative.

  • Motivated self-starter, able to function with minimal supervision.

  • Strong attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

  • Ability to efficiently identify and solve moderately complex issues.

  • Strong communication and organizational skills are necessary in working with business leaders, HR Partners, and associates.

  • Strong proficiency with computers, Microsoft software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint) and HR systems, specifically Workday.

  • Ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.

Education/Training/Experience:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Communication or Human Resources preferred.

  • 1+ years of Human Resources experience preferred.
