As a Lead Diversity Recruiter, you will use your passion and long-standing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion to make a meaningful impact in advancing diversity recruiting at Securian Financial. From building and investing in campus programs, to developing diverse pipelines for future leadership opportunities, you will play a critical role in helping build the best teams to fulfill our purpose; helping our customers build secure tomorrows.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Develop and execute on diversity recruitment strategies for current and future talent needs at all levels of the organization, from campus programs to leadership talent
Actively establish and grow relationships with diverse professional and student organizations, universities, and alumni groups
Partner closely with business-aligned recruiters, Community Relations, and DE&I to develop, advise, and execute on diversity recruiting programs and sourcing strategies to fill current openings and build pipelines for future needs
Continually grow a pipeline of qualified diverse candidates through networking and making career connections with leaders throughout the organization; hosting and attending events as needed
Leveraging relationships and events for mid-career professionals to build a pipeline for management-level roles
Regularly engage with and influence leaders of all levels on creative solutions to fill current and future talent gaps
Lead campus program by developing a school relationship/engagement model strategy and identify customizations needed by school/profiles in partnership with campus recruiter who will support candidate recruiting process
Expanding college recruiting efforts within underrepresented populations by deepening our engagement with multicultural student groups.
Lead all campus and diversity related recruiting events with coordinator support; including registration, conference logistics, employee participation, and internal and external communication related to the event, and analyze the recruiting return on investment for future event planning
Build trust and consistency with key school partners (school leaders, career centers, faculty) to create shared strategies and priorities for campus hiring
Develop, maintain, and cultivate diverse talent pools through Workday
Partner with Securian Associate Resource Groups on Recruiting and event strategies
Use data to influence talent strategies and make recommendations for change
Qualifications:
Deep passion, understanding, and long-standing commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion with 5+ years of DE&I or HR Recruiting experience
Strong interpersonal skills, influence, and proven success at building credibility and trust with leadership, partners (internal and external) and talent
Comfortable with ambiguity; you want to be a part of developing and growing something new
Previous experience leading campus recruitment program, including strategy development ranging and external relationships
High level of initiative and motivation to identify priorities, organize projects and people to achieve results
Knowledge and experience working with college/university organizations to develop joint partnership strategies and goals
A true sense of ownership from start to finish
A growth-mindset; you are curious and always eager to learn and improve
Preferred Qualifications:
Proficiency with ATS and other related platforms (Workday and LinkedIn Recruiter)

Physical job requirements:
Ability to work at least 40 hours per week
Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 3-6 hours per day
Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 1-3 hours per day
Ability to perform simple grasping including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout entire workday
