About this position

The Talent Acquisition Compliance Specialist provides high-level administrative support to Talent Acquisition team in the execution of the hiring and onboarding compliance. Position involves coordinating the compliance items for the onboarding of prospective team members including I-9, licensure and certifications and background screening requirements. In addition, this role processes and monitor results of third-party background checks, DHS background studies and E verify on all new hires. This role is also key in providing requested information during audits, regulatory surveys and any other requests for team member file information regarding HR compliance. #LI-DNI


What we’ll expect from you

Accountabilities:
• Maintains personnel and department files in a neat and orderly manner.
• Assists HR leaders with providing requested information during process file audits, external regulatory surveys and requests.
• Coordinates the compliance items for the onboarding of prospective team members including I-9, licensure and certifications and background screening requirements
• Process and monitor results of third-party background checks, DHS background studies and E verify on all new hires
• Apply company principles towards adjudications of employment screening results
• Research and track against changing state employment laws and department process changes for hiring and onboarding new team members
• Monitor and track expiring licensure certifications, sanction and exclusion
• Point person for DHS compliance and other board regulated employment compliance
• Apply company principles towards adjudications of employment screening and onboarding results
• Accepts other duties as assigned to promote the accomplishment of organizational goals.
• The team member is accountable to demonstrate proficiency for the skills outlined in the appropriate position skills list.
• The team member is accountable to maintain skill proficiency, including improvement where deemed necessary, and upgrading any additional or new skills on the appropriate position skills list.
Compliance
• Recognizes and complies with legal regulatory, accrediting and procedural requirements related to area of responsibility.
• Understands and follows principles and standards as outlined in North Memorial’s Corporate Code of Conduct.
• Protects customer and team member privacy and only accesses customer and/or team member related information as needed to perform job duties.
• Reports violations or areas of concern to supervisor or Corporate Compliance Officer via established methods of communication.

Education

• Associates degree required, Bachelors preferred  

Experience, Knowledge, Skills, Abilities

• 3 years of experience in HR Compliance specifically related to pre-employment screening, hiring and onboarding
• Previous experience in healthcare compliance preferred
• Knowledge or interest in continued education and understanding areas of employment policies, processes, and best practices in enterprise-wide HR practices.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills are required to effectively partner across the business at all levels.
• Extraordinarily detail oriented and ability to track against multiple work streams simultaneously while following specific, detailed instructions.
• Demonstrated maturity when dealing with highly confidential information
