Recruiter- Ag Business
We are hiring a Recruiter to join our Ag Business Recruitment team (ABR) to act as the primary recruiting partner for our member owners (co-ops) and dealers. Working closely with the Sr. Manager – Talent Acquisition, internal services partners and key owner management, the Ag Business Recruiter will help lead strategy to develop an effective recruiting & pipeline strategy to hire top talent into respective owners within the Land O'Lakes member (co-op/dealer) system. In this role, you will be responsible for full cycle recruiting, partnering with owners on recruiting & talent needs and driving their region’s college recruiting strategy and programming.
50% - Business Development & Full Cycle Recruiting
Develop & drive regional business plan to aid in the sourcing, screening and hiring of talent for Land O’Lakes’ cooperative owners
Activities include: candidate sourcing & screening, owner visits, CRM tracking, business development activities, building internal Land O’Lakes relationships and candidate pipeline development
35% - College Recruiting Activities
Promoting the owner college placement program & understanding the respective college recruiting needs of our owners
Planning & executing the college relations on campus strategy for the East & Midwest ABR regions; align regional goals with broader College Relations team strategy
Planning and execution of their regional summer intern program – includes trainings, wrap up presentations & other program needs as requested by owners
10% - Phenom (CRM) Engagement & Usage
Create sourcing and recruiting strategies through Land O’Lakes’ CRM platform, Phenom People
Develop passive and active candidate engagement through system tools
5% - Other Talent Acquisition/HR Projects
Partner internally on larger strategic projects related to Talent Acquisition and it’s talent channels
Travel to college campuses across the country is required as well as travel for conferences, internal Land O'Lakes events, owner visits/events and other activities as needed. Travel, when allowed by safety guidelines, will be approximately 15-20% with seasonal increases in the fall and spring on campus recruiting seasons.
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Agriculture or related degree
3+ years of HR/recruiting experience, with 2 years full cycle recruiting experience required
Interest in agriculture and the cooperative business structure
Must be self-motivated with the ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining a high level of customer service
Ability to take ambiguous situations and make sound decisions that will benefit the overall Ag Business Recruitment team
Strong MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) skills are required.
ATS & CRM system experience is a strongly preferred
A positive and self-directed attitude
Must possess strong networking skills with candidates and hiring managers
Must be flexible, resilient and have the ability to adapt to changes in process
Strong customer service mindset and approaches work with relationship first mentality
Preferred Experience and Qualifications:
Prior Recruitment and placement experience in agriculture strongly desire
Prior recruiting agency or sales experience a plus
College recruiting experienced a plus
Qualified candidates who are outside of the MSP market will be considered.
