Overall Description
The Talent Management Manager will lead their team in creating and maintaining initiatives that shape employee culture and engagement, optimizing talent processes, and mobilizing and accelerating change initiatives. Integration and collaboration with both HR and field leadership are crucial points of alignment. Programs, systems and tools will be applicable organization-wide. Additionally, the role will manage the team responsible for talent processes at the company.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Talent Processes
- Evolve, enhance and deploy talent processes such as: talent review and succession, goal setting, performance management, development and career planning for office and production employee populations
- Assess organizational career paths and design tools and systems to enable TTC employees to identify their career objective and development goals supporting their performance and career aspirations.
- In partnership with the Learning team, design and facilitate organization-wide learning around talent process execution and effectiveness
- Facilitate calibration and talent review sessions at multiple levels
OD and Change Management
Provide strategic guidance on people and organizational change issues
Leverage our employee engagement and lifecycle survey processes to guide organization actions, providing insights and improvement plans for manager and organizational performance
In partnership with HR Business Partners, consult with business leaders to address performance and organizational and team effectiveness needs; providing solutions including change management strategies, team effectiveness interventions, performance and talent calibration and process improvement.
Utilize a global and inclusive mindset to shape people practices and drive increased diversity into the organization
Upon request, may coach individuals providing 360/other assessments, conducting difficult/hi-impact one-on-one conversations that will influence behavioral outcomes; or matching outside coaches as appropriate
In partnership with HRIS team, ensure talent analytics help drive good decisions
Practice Area and Team Leadership
Networks extensively with external peers, consultants and industry experts to stay current, benchmark, and determine best appropriate resources for the enterprise
Effectively lead and manage the Talent & Org Development team, ensuring clear goals are established and achieved and the team grows and develops.
Manages the relationships and work of outside Consultants when used
Job Dimensions and Specifications:
Requires Bachelors degree; Preferred Masters degree in related field such as OD, HRD, Human Resources
Preferred certification in Change Management, Coaching, Team Building or similar
Minimum five to seven years of experience in Talent Management, HRD/OD, some in a managerial role
Preferred experience in a corporate, multi-site/global organization
High level of intellectual, professional, and interpersonal ability
Capable of gaining the trust of leadership and influencing positive organizational outcomes
Global mindset and experience working in multiple regions
Proven coaching and influence skills
Data-driven decisions using talent analytics
Solid project management skills
Experience developing learning using effective adult learning and instructional design principles
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Experience with recognized assessment and development tools and their use
Experience with top tier HCM and talent management technology (Workday, Successfactors),in the areas of: performance management, talent review and succession, learning management, e-learning authoring tools,
Experience with virtual delivery platforms (Microsoft Teams, Skype, Webex)
Advanced Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Sharepoint) skills
Demonstrated business acumen and the ability to effectively implement people strategies to support business goals
