Description
Lead in planning and fulfilling the hiring needs of the business.
Develop recruiting strategies, partner with business leadership team to optimize recruiting solutions and ensure legal compliance.
Act as the project lead for continuous improvement projects for the team as well as other enterprise recruiting projects.
Define and assign work to be done, including communicating with team, manager and others about needs and expectations, planning, organizing, staff selection and delegating.
Enable direct reports to do the recruitment, selection and project work by monitoring, coaching, providing continuous feedback & recognition, acquiring resources, problem solving and communicating.
Communicate regularly with key internal customers, peer delivery partners, and suppliers to monitor delivery of services against expectations and to identify issues and develop corrective action plans.
Measure and analyze trends in applicant flow, diversity, placement rates, turnover/retention rates, etc. and recommend root cause solutions during the strategic planning process in order to justify resource requests for improvements.
Provide input to the strategic planning process, identifying projects and process improvements that will improve the capability of the recruiting team in contributing to achieve short term and long term goals of the enterprise.
Manage multiple projects including establishing key metrics and benchmarks to drive business decisions while prioritizing work-based business demands.
Create and manage diverse partnerships.
Establish clear metrics for success.
Establish strategy and program recommendations.
Integrate a broader DEI lens.
Trends on current recruiting landscape, including where talent outreach is happening; most valuable channels for talent engagement; diversity hiring initiatives; biggest challenges to diversifying a talent pipeline.
Provides leadership/training/coaching to a hiring managers
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Masters level; PHR/SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
7+ years experience in a Talent Acquisition/recruiting role.
Working knowledge of HR with emphasis on state-of-the-art staffing processes, internal HR policies, employment laws and selection methodologies (behavioral interviewing and assessment) or equivalent.
Understanding of various communities and culture to build talent pipelines.
Leadership skills with very strong verbal and solid written communication skills.
Solid e-recruiting skills; strong personal computer skills using spreadsheets, word processing and HRIS applications.
Strong problem solving and continuous improvement skill set.
Preferred 2+ years of business experience leading and implementing projects.
Preferred recruiting experience at HBCU's, Native American Colleges, etc. and proven diversity recruiting strategies.
