Position Summary:

Our ideal Senior Talent Acquisition Specialist is an enthusiastic, innovative, high-energy, and self-motivated recruitment professional, with experience in recruiting and managing talent acquisition strategies. You will be responsible for recruitment of exempt levels positions across a variety of departments and locations. This includes working on positions up to the Director level. Outside of recruiting, you will also help in developing and implementing talent acquisition processes and strategies to guide Bio-Techne’s nationwide hiring practices.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct intake sessions with Hiring Managers, review resumes for minimum qualifications, conduct phone interviews, and participate in face-to-face interviews with the hiring team
  • Effectively negotiates and extends hiring offers
  • Actively source passive candidates using tools such as LinkedIn and Indeed
  • Closely strategize with Hiring Managers and HR Business Partners to provide insight on market data of candidates
  • Develop internal and external networks to support passive sourcing efforts
  • Tracks and maintains reporting of applicant and position metrics
  • Track and manage recruitment agency spend of your assigned business unit
  • Implements creative recruitment tactics that attract new and experienced staff; aware of local, state, and national labor and recruitment trends
  • Develops best practices for recruitment and retention
  • Work within ATS system guidelines and define manage applicant and candidate activity
  • Employ interviewing techniques to assess the fit between a candidate's previous experience and the position
  • Work closely with HR Business Partners and internal business customers to manage recruiting strategy with a national focus supporting business needs
  • Train Hiring Managers on the recruitment process and the steps that they are responsible with completing
  • Work closely with talent acquisition management to further define the recruitment process and develop ongoing talent acquisition strategies to attract qualified candidates
  • Provide leadership and mentorship to others on the recruitment team serving as the subject matter expert for sourcing
  • Develops and maintains contacts with schools, professional organizations, and companies to find and attract applicants
  • Performs additional duties as assigned

Qualifications

Job Qualifications

Education and Experience:

  • Position requires a 4-year degree and a minimum of 5+ years of recruitment experience.
  • Or, High School equivalent with 10+ years of relevant recruitment experience
  • Experience sourcing passive candidates is required
  • Experience working with and influencing upper-level management is required
  • Experience in talent acquisition process management and strategy creation is highly preferred
