What You’ll Do
As a Recruiter & HR Generalist, you will play a critical role in growing our team. This requires that you be highly proactive in sourcing and recruiting the best. This position’s primary focus is full lifecycle recruiting in a fast-paced environment, ensuring that we hire high quality candidates in sales, customer success, software engineering, product management, customer care, marketing and other general areas of the company. You will run the recruitment process from start to finish by sourcing, recruiting and closing. In addition to recruiting, the Recruiter & HR Generalist will also spend a portion of the time working on HR duties and special projects. In this role you will:
- Conduct full-cycle recruiting, which includes sourcing and recruiting for assigned open positions
- Work with management to define required skill sets and coach them on the hiring process.
- Deeply understand ideal candidate profile, screen candidates for fit, and provide recommendations for advancement in the recruitment process
- Keep reduction of bias top of mind throughout the recruitment process and assist in helping interview teams do the same through education and training
- Identify new avenues and approaches for sourcing and attracting historically underrepresented groups
- Run a customer-service minded, detail oriented internal and external recruitment process
- Conduct behavior-based, structured interviews and assessment / scorecard-based feedback
- Coordinate interviews
- Ensure every candidate has a meaningful experience throughout the interview process, regardless of outcome
- Manage the closing process including drafting and sending offer letters, declining candidates, and closing the position
- Contribute to measurement and tracking of recruiting programs and initiatives in order to help inform future strategies
- Reinforce company culture and work to support a positive work environment and morale among staff.
- Promote the When I Work employer brand, leveraging social media, targeted on-site and web-based events, and utilizing internal resources to assist in sharing the When I Work story in the market.
- Escalate issues as needed to other members of the HR team
- Maintains confidentiality of sensitive information
- Other duties as assigned.

Experience and Skills Needed
- 3+ years full cycle recruiting experience in a fast-paced, result-driven environment
- Experience working as an HR Generalist
- Sourcing experience with a demonstrated ability to build a pipeline of qualified candidates for a variety of positions at different levels of the organization, preferably in tech.
- Experience with behavioral interviewing, structured interviews, and assessment/ scorecard based feedback preferred
- Understanding of how to reduce bias in the recruitment process with a focus on running an equitable and fair process
- Strong interpersonal skills and experience conducting interviews
- Great selling and closing skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Outstanding verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively with all levels of the organization
- Experience coaching and providing feedback to interviewers and hiring managers
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills required to meet recurring deadlines and maintain tracking systems related to HR and recruiting information
- Knowledge of technical jargon and skill sets
- Demonstrates an understanding of employer branding
- Knowledgeable with Application Tracking Systems
- Ability to maintain composure and good judgment when dealing with deadlines and a fast paced environment
- Strong professional ethics and sensitivity in dealing with confidential information
- Interest in and aptitude for learning additional areas of Human Resources. May include compliance, HRIS, training and development, employee engagement, compensation, benefits, etc.
- Bachelor's degree or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and/or training required
