Summary

The Talent Acquisition Manager is responsible for the company's recruiting processes including interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and retentions of employees. A primary focus will be driving innovation and continuous improvement for recruiting, applicant tracking tools, and orientation & onboarding processes. Additionally this role will be involved in candidate assessments, selection and offer negotiation as well as coaching, mentoring, and leading hiring managers in recruiting best practices. This role will report to the Director of Human Resources.

Essential Job Functions

  • Develops successful working relationships with department managers to learn their current and future staffing needs.

  • Effectively sources candidates, utilizing knowledge of multiple recruiting sources, social media, marketing, and advanced sourcing techniques, both passive and active.

  • Manages all job postings, internal and external; maintains the applicant tracking system.

  • Screens candidates, presents candidates and manages interviews and offers.

  • Identifies best-practices; champions Nuss policies and procedures.

  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with technical schools, including educating students and instructors on the Nuss career path and Nuss benefits; participates in job fairs.

  • Stays current on federal and state laws and regulations that relate to the recruiting and hiring process; ensures that department managers are supporting our efforts on being an equal employment opportunity/affirmative action employer.

  • Establishes and reports recruiting metrics and employment market trends to Human Resource Director and department Managers.

  • Manages the onboarding process and retention efforts of the company.

  • Creates, maintains, and updates job descriptions regularly.

  • Promotes Nuss’ employee referral program.

  • Employment brand management, positions Nuss as the employer of choice.

Minimum Qualifications

Education:   
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience and training.

Experience:  
5-10 years of human resources experience with focus on talent acquisition.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities:

  • General human resources /recruiting skills and knowledge.
  • Experience with applicant tracking systems and tools.
  • Proven ability to develop and deliver recruiting strategies directly supporting department’s needs to achieve goals and directives.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • A good facilitator with strong personality and relationship management ability to communicate, influence and collaborate with multiple stakeholders.
  • Flexible and adaptable to varying needs, ability to prioritize tasks and workload.
  • A strong team player with a proactive, flexible and mature approach to the role.
  • Ability to working on own initiative and self-sufficiency on a day-to-day basis.
  • Effective change facilitator who thinks innovatively and acts decisively around process improvement and efficiency, adapting positively to challenges.
