What You’ll Be Doing

As a Talent & Culture Coordinator, you will support a broad range of human resources functions including:

Culture Initiatives

  • Be a champion for the employee experience
  • Work collaboratively with the Talent & Culture/HR team and take a lead on event planning and volunteer events
  • Support and lead various Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives
  • Understand the external landscape on the topic of DEI – thought leaders, potential partner organizations, best practices, research and evolving trends
  • Play a key role in launching remote-first culture programs, including leading the Awesome Work Environment (AWE) Team
  • Assist and/or lead the planning and execution of company wide events and activities
  • Assist and/or lead additional projects as necessary

Talent Acquisition

  • Partner closely with our Talent & Culture/HR team to coordinate interviews and oversee the interview experience for candidates - providing a high touch, “white glove” experience at every step
  • Assist in things like sourcing, planning recruiting and company events, and operationalizing our recruiting processes
  • Manage the candidate workflow in our applicant tracking system
  • Manage all job boards and job postings
  • Attend recruitment fairs and other recruiting events
  • Create and manage offer letters
  • Manage & track employee new hire onboarding process - including verifying I-9 & employment eligibility, background checks, scheduling new hire orientations, and work closely with Talent & Culture/HR team on optimal timing and communication

HR Administration

  • Provide high touch support to employees by responding to questions quickly and with a friendly and helpful approach
  • Manage sensitive and confidential data e.g. confidential employee information, employee compensation, and employee files
  • Maintain and update data within our HRIS and across other systems ensuring a high degree of accuracy
  • Respond to requests for employment verifications and unemployment claims
  • Manage employee changes by creating internal offer and promotion/transfer letters, updating systems, etc.
  • Coordinate onboarding and offboarding logistics working with Finance, IT, and Talent & Culture/HR teams
  • Identify and drive process improvement efforts, leveraging systems and tools to automate and eliminate manual work where possible
  • Assist with ad-hoc projects and other administrative tasks as necessary

Experience and Skills Needed

  • Bachelor's degree, preferably in Business / Human Resources
  • 1-2 years of prior experience in an HR role; preferably in a startup environment
  • A curiosity and passion to learn
  • The desire to push things forward and simplify processes and procedures
  • A commitment to helping others
  • Highly detailed and organized, with a knack for communicating
  • An ability to tackle a lot of new things without getting overwhelmed
  • Experience assisting with administrative office duties
  • A comfortable sense of urgency and a need to make sure everyone is always informed
  • Able to handle confidential and sensitive information with professionalism and discretion

  • Experience working with an Applicant Tracking System and/or an HRIS
