Position summary

In partnership with the business recruiting teams and as an extension of the Strategy and Innovation team, you’ll use your relationship-based consultative skills to work both across businesses as well as with specific teams lead D&I strategies for Deloitte’s high growth environment. You’ll partner with the business recruiting leadership team to design, program manage, track and measure diversity and inclusion initiatives at a national level while ensuring alignment with the strategy and goals specifically aligned to building out the recruiting strategy. As an example, you will drive and program manage the HBCU Scholarship and Emerging Leaders Program, nationally across the firm. You will measure and communicate results against committed inclusion actions to ensure meaningful and measurable progress towards inclusion goals.  You will also explore possible growth opportunities for this platform and/or identify new platforms to enhance our URM recruiting efforts, to include campus, experienced hire and women of color.  You will have responsibility for a multi-university design model (with historically black colleges and universities) and lead on a range of initiatives to help students to be better prepared for today’s and tomorrow’s careers.  The project will pioneer ways to weave experiential 21st century skill learning and career preparation into the student journey. 

Ability to assess risks, anticipate bottlenecks, provide escalation management, make tradeoffs, and balance the business / functional needs while implementing D&I programs is critical. Successful candidates will have experience designing and delivering innovative D&I programs, earning trust with clients, and exhibit the ability to invent and simplify to translate market leading practices and research into action.

Work you’ll do:

Key areas of focus include:

  • Foster and drive HBCU inclusion initiatives including but not limited to strategic programming and sourcing top HBCU talent at the campus and EH levels

  • Build D&I focused recruitment strategies / plans and help evangelize and drive adoption; innovate new ways to expand and scale

  • Gather market insights re available talent pools and make data driven recommendations for focused sourcing

  • Manage strategic relationships with external organizations as an opportunity to attract and identify diverse talent pipelines

  • Drive effective teamwork, communication, collaboration and commitment across multiple groups with competing priorities

  • Identify, assess, track and mitigate issues and risks at multiple levels

  • Collaborate intra-organizationally across other areas of Talent (ie: Inclusion CoE, Talent Business Advisors, Learning and Development, Performance Management, etc)

Education and experience:

  • Bachelor’s Degree; HBCU Alumni

  • 5+ years of recruiting experience in large professional services organization

  • Experience and knowledge of 2 or more of Deloitte businesses

  • 7+ years’ program management experience

  • Experience in program creation for diverse talent pipelines

  • Strong analytic skills and the ability to think programmatically and strategically

  • Ability to develop quick turn-around, practical recommendations based on data and research to inform decisions in unstructured / ambiguous environment

  • High level of comfort using data-driven decision making

  • Ability to synthesize and communicate complex information and adjust to variable audiences

  • Strong organization skills with the ability to successfully manage multiple tasks and competing priorities

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
