Salary range:

$62,800 - $78,500/year depending on qualifications and experience.

Overview:

The Securian Financial Campus Recruiting Team is tasked with managing the campus recruiting strategy and internship program for all college recruiting programs (IT, Management Development, Business Technology, Actuarial, Financial Analysis, and Digital). The Recruiters on this team engage and build strong relationships with core schools in the Twin Cities and five state region and are tasked with attracting top talent from these institutions. The team also manages, facilitates, and monitors the summer internship program with a goal of converting the interns into full time hires.

What you would do in this job:

  1. Responsible for the full-cycle recruitment of intern and entry-level professionals as well as the planning, organization, development, and implementation for all related processes.

  2. Develop relationships with students and faculty, while collaborating with Securian employees to facilitate networking and branding at targeted schools.

  3. Actively participate in planning and execution of projects and programs, such as the local internship programs and rotational programs.

  4. Develop and execute intern recruitment strategy, including business unit specific target school identification and relationship management.

  5. Recruit diverse and top talent from regional higher learning institutions for all college recruiting programs at Securian Financial.

  6. Build strong partnerships with core schools as well as program specific schools to create a pipeline of talent for the company.

  7. Maintain and train Campus Teams of Securian employees to help support the campus efforts and create more connections within selected institutions.

What we'd expect from you:

  1. Experience in building relationships with external and internal parties.

  2. Ability to handle multiple tasks at once while maintaining continuous communication and service to candidates and customers.

  3. Ability to travel up to 30% of the time during the college recruiting seasons (Fall and spring) and 10% during the rest of the year.

  4. Creative problem solving to think of new ways to leverage Campus Alumni Teams and campus relationships to attract top talent.

  5. Strong relationship management skills with a wide variety of individuals.

  6. Understanding of the Talent Acquisition process.

Preferred skills for this job:

  1. Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.

  2. 1-2 years Human Resources experience  (desired, but not required).

Physical job requirements:

  • Ability to work at least 40 hours per week

  • Ability to utilize keyboard, mouse and computer for up to 3-6 hours per day

  • Ability to utilize telephone for approximately 1-3 hours per day

  • Ability to perform simple grasping including handwriting, paper manipulation, sorting, folding, etc. periodically throughout entire workday
