The Recruiter will serve as a liaison with team members on behalf of the human resources department and the company for recruitment and payroll needs.  This position will be responsible for company-wide recruitment activities ensuring recruiting efforts are successful throughout the organization.  Recruiting responsibilities include managing the ATS (Applicant Tracking System), creating and updating job descriptions and interview guides, posting positions, and maintaining the company careers page.  In addition, they will be responsible for attending job fairs, building professional networks throughout the community and conducting regular follow-ups with managers to determine the effectiveness of recruiting plans while ensuring positions are successfully filled. This position will develop training sessions for the ATS system to ensure the end users are utilizing the systems to their fullest capabilities. They must demonstrate business ethics, including protection of proprietary information and handle confidential information with the utmost care.  These components are non-negotiable in maintaining the integrity of the HR department and the organization.  This position requires the HR Specialist to successfully interface with all levels of the organization.

Required Skills

Must be able to use Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook) and ATS systems (Jobvite is preferred). Prior experience working in a fast-paced environment, attention to detail through organizing, prioritizing, time-management, high follow through skills, including strong verbal communication and interpersonal skills are required.  Pet industry/retail knowledge is a plus and pet/animal interest or background is essential. Must be able to identify candidates from multiple sources.  Local and out of town travel is required.

Required Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or University, Human Resources or related field preferred; minimum 4-5 years proven experience in all aspects of recruiting is required.
