We are searching for a highly motivated and professional Recruiting Consultant to join our National Retail Sales talent acquisition team supporting the Wells Fargo Home Lending line of business. Wells Fargo Home Lending is the nation’s leading mortgage lender (Inside Mortgage Finance). We are driven to provide exceptional home loan service to consumers and business partners. This Recruiting Consultant will provide support in two primary functions: Full cycle recruiting support for Leader/Manager/exempt specialty roles and direct sourcing for mortgage originators at all levels for the Mortgage Sales team. This role will serve as a lead recruiter for a distributed sales division and will be accountable for developing and fostering ongoing collaborative working relationships with assigned business leaders, fellow recruiters, segment partners, and HR partners across Wells Fargo.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to: 

  • Leading efforts to develop innovative recruiting strategies and best practices for recruiting mortgage sales producers and leaders. 
  • Utilizing creative approaches to direct sourcing, cold calling, competitor research, internet search, networking and referrals, as well as traditional sourcing methods.
  • Serving as recruiting subject matter expert to the line of business and providing coaching on passive recruiting processes and practices.
  • Identifying and executing opportunities to positively impact diversity hiring efforts.
  • Staying current with industry and staffing trends and relevant companies and competitive data.
  • Ensuring compliance with appropriate employment laws, regulations and corporate policies.
  • Leading and representing the team on projects and key initiatives.

Preferred Location:  Charlotte, NC; Des Moines, IA; Addison, TX, Minneapolis, MN 

Required Qualifications

  • 4+ years of recruiting experience, human resources experience, or a combination of both
  • 4 + years of full-cycle recruiting experience

  • Leadership experience in a full life-cycle recruiting environment with specific experience developing diversity strategies
  • Ability to build and execute pro-active sourcing strategies for hard to fill specialty positions
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem solving techniques
  • Knowledge and understanding of HR policies, practices and procedures, including an understanding of legal and OFCCP recruiting requirements
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Ability to work and influence successfully within a matrix environment and build effective business partnerships with all levels of team members
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
