As a recruiter, you will be responsible for the full candidate life cycle, turning profile requirements into effective sourcing strategies, using an appropriate combination of direct sourcing and referrals to approach, attract and develop candidate interest. You will work hand in hand with candidates and internal clients guiding both efficiently through our robust hiring process, synthesizing feedback from assessors and threading together a story line to determine the viability of a candidate’s success, while providing consistent reporting to leadership on pipelines and progress against your goals. You will be the subject matter expert globally across Sun Country and will develop and share best practices on our hiring processes. You will have a great opportunity to participate in recruiting related projects to set best practices and will work to identify and recommend improvement opportunities.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Collaborating with leadership and hiring managers to understand current and future hiring needs, providing advice and guidance throughout the recruitment process
  • Developing a thorough understanding of company and value proposition in order to qualify candidates and articulate our business
  • Managing full life cycle recruiting; setting interview strategies, interviewing and preparing and negotiating offer letters
  • Building and maintaining network of potential candidates through proactive market research, industry contacts, association memberships, and employee referrals
  • Creating effective sourcing strategies and techniques using an appropriate combination of direct sourcing, social recruiting and other relevant passive recruitment methods
  • Developing and driving an engaging and positive candidate experience
  • Serving as a knowledgeable, personable ambassador of the company at conferences, career fairs and other networking events
  • Development of benchmarks and scorecards to be used for continuous improvement
  • Selection and management of social media/recruiting systems

Sun Country Airlines seeks a candidate with the following skills, experience and education

Skills and Experience

  • Minimum of three years of recruiting experience, preferably 1+ year specialized. This can include school coursework, internships, certificates and other relevant HR/Recruiting experience and training
  • Background in airlines preferred
  • Ability to travel up to 20% domestically
  • Team player to collaborate with business units
  • Creative ways to reach exceptional talent and develop talent pipeline strategy
  • Self-starter, takes initiative with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Excellent planning, organizational and problem solving skills with strong organization skills and a high level of attention to detail and process orientation
  • Ability to prioritize and work effectively in a fast paced environment
  • Analytical mindset, but also creativity to seek, encourage and find non-traditional approaches to realize cost saving and strategic value
  • Excellent facilitation and presentation skills
  • Demonstrates a passion for success and strives to exceed expectations; ambitious
  • Builds networks and authentic relationships to get things done
  • Hands-on and pragmatic

  • Sourcing candidates from multiple industries and backgrounds using multiple media
  • Interviewing candidates to determine company and job fit/addition
  • Assessing talent and their potential to contribute and grow within a company
  • Experience launching and sustaining talent acquisition projects and/or programs
  • Strong business and HR acumen
  • Great analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Highly focused on job priorities and customer needs
  • Excellent communications and project management skills
  • Knowledge in the Microsoft Office suite (e.g. MS Excel, MS PowerPoint, MS Word, etc.)

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Organizational Behavior, or Industrial/Organizational Psychology or equivalent experience preferred
  • High school diploma/GED or equivalent required
