Digital Communications Manager, Talent Acquisition

Job Description:

The Digital Communications Manager for Talent Acquisition will be responsible for managing candidate-facing digital channels across the organization in support of Talent Acquisition initiatives, promoting our employer brand through recruitment marketing engagement that includes Social Media, talent community interaction, email campaigns and career site experience. This role will be responsible for planning, implementation and execution of editorial and campaign strategy across Land O'Lakes' candidate-facing digital channels.  They will lead this by managing posted content, engagement with the social audience, and fostering the community for followership. This role consults with key leaders in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources and business leadership on editorial content to support our employer brand communication strategy.  The ideal candidate has passion for all things digital strategy and execution in the talent acquisition space. Experience building brands, ideally employment branding in order to develop genuine and authentic connections with our potential candidates and ultimately our consumers

Manage Digital Communications function:

- Manage editorial content across all Talent Acquisition (TA) social and digital properties

- Create original graphic and written content for a wide variety of audiences (leveraging existing assets, minor graphic design in Percolate, copywriting, HR and legal routing) and create monthly content calendar based on quarterly plans

- Manage, curate and edit content from Recruiting specialists

- Community management of recruiting social sites, response approach, reach out to LOL stakeholders

as needed to answer questions

- Independently, and in collaboration with Communications, design and enhance storytelling, using high impact visuals and graphics

- Social monitoring

Direct and implement TA Digital Strategy:

- Develop overall strategic plan for all TA social media and digital platforms

- Ensure  Land O'Lakes Inc. talent brand and reputation are enhanced by social media and digital activities

- Actively manage potentially damaging issues in conjunction with PR

- Monitor industry and company news

- Hold social planning sessions with Recruiting team, LOL stakeholders

- Develop talent community and career site strategy in collaboration with Recruitment and Communications

Leadership:

- Develop and tie digital communications strategies into company business and communications, department objectives and strategies

- Collaborate regularly with Communications team to leverage and synchronize content and publishing

- Collaborate regularly with Corporate Digital Marketing team to remain current on platforms

Analytics:

- Review weekly and report monthly on social performance, identifying insights to enhance effectiveness with social channels and other recruitment marketing engagement tracking.  Analyze and report impact of work, using combination of objective and subjective measures.

Qualifications:

- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent

- 5+ years’ experience in Digital Marketing program management

- 2+ years’ experience managing social communities for high-profile brands

- Digital site development and production experience

- Proven ability to develop and implement a strong digital communications strategy

- Experience in managing digital execution - both day-to-day maintenance and campaign-style responsibility

- In-depth knowledge and understanding of online social platforms and how they can be deployed in different scenarios

- Ability to effectively communicate information and ideas in written and verbal format

- Have a good knowledge of principles of customer service, and ability to build and maintain relationships

- Ability to thrive in a cross-functional environment where prioritization and business needs change rapidly

- Proven ability to manage multiple projects to successful outcomes in a fast-paced and highly collaborative environment

- Understanding of employment branding development

- Must possess high attention for detail and healthy respect for timelines and process

Preferred:

- Understanding of Recruitment/Talent Acquisition- experience in Talent Acquisition, understands candidate experience best practices

- Experience with Photoshop, InDesign and/or other design platforms

- Experience publishing content to websites in a variety of social platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.)

- Demonstrated experience in digitally progressive corporation or agency
