HealthPartners has an exciting opportunity for a Senior Recruiter & Diversity Recruitment Specialist in our Human Resources department. This position is responsible for performing full cycle recruitment and plays a key role in developing, implementing and executing broad recruiting strategies along with a focus on diversity recruitment strategies. This person will have a specific emphasis on senior level, executive, and leadership recruiting including sourcing high quality active, passive and diverse candidates. This role will manage a full workload of open requisitions from intake to offer acceptance, will build and maintain a pipeline of diverse talent, will perform searches employing advanced sourcing and candidate identification methods, and will promote and advance the employer brand to effectively engage candidates. This position will help lead the creation and development of relationships with key diversity community organizations, partners and schools with the purpose of attracting diverse talent.
Additional accountabilities include:
o Lead and manage all aspects of recruiting ranging from sourcing candidates, conducting effective and insightful screening, making candidate recommendations to hiring managers, coordinating the interview process and ensuring a strong candidate experience.
o Serve as a strategic partner with hiring leaders to understand their business objectives, growth strategies and hiring needs in order to develop strategic recruitment plans. Proactively utilize labor market and industry trends in order to educate hiring leaders and to develop recruitment strategies.
o Develop proactive, creative and innovative sourcing strategies and techniques to attract, screen and engage active and passive candidates. Create pipelines of candidates for critical skills areas by utilizing social media and other sources to identify, attract and recruit quality candidates.
o Identify and evaluate external recruitment outreach approaches and activities to attract diverse candidate slates in order to enhance current diversity recruitment partnerships and activities.
o Ensure compliance with all legal aspects of recruiting and candidate selection. Act in compliance with federal, state and local equal employment opportunity statutes, rules and regulations.
o Act as a mentor to the recruiters in regards to recruitment strategy and best practices, sourcing best practices, and managing hiring leader and candidate interactions and relationships.
o Influence the development and enhancement of recruitment strategies by providing innovative approaches to help drive the hiring process and overall candidate and hiring manager experience to provide solutions to meet the business needs.
o Act as a resource to HealthPartners hiring leaders on recruitment policies and procedures. Train hiring leaders on the overall hiring processes, effective candidate assessment techniques, behavioral interviewing techniques and hiring and selection best practices.
o Promote HealthPartners commitment to diversity in a manner supporting HealthPartners’ mission and goals by networking with community agencies, professional associations, educational institutions, and attending various events and job fairs. Develop and implement strategic initiatives for recruiting diverse candidates
o Assist with building the company’s reputation as an employer of choice by connecting with selected sourcing and recruiting channels through recruitment branding, community visibility, networking, corporate events, etc. Understand the culture and environment, the market, the services provided, the strategic direction of the company and the specifics surrounding each open position.
o Effectively create and manage a great experience for every candidate.
o Identify and communicate continuous improvement opportunities and strategies to the recruitment process.
o Lead and manage projects related to recruiting process changes, systems enhancements, Human Resources department initiatives, vendor research, etc.
o Utilize the applicant tracking system to document all steps of the recruitment process. Ensure candidates are given the proper disposition in accordance to OFCCP regulations. Ensure the documentation is current and accurate.
A successful candidate for this role will be able to provide an outstanding level of customer service and have the ability to develop and maintain strong relationships with hiring managers and candidates. This role requires a consultative approach to recruiting and strong relationship building skills.
The ideal candidate will have:
o A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources or a related field plus at least four years of experience recruiting in a corporate environment.
o A strong foundation in diversity recruiting specifically in the creation and implementation of strategies to source and recruit diverse candidates.
o Previous success in sourcing candidates using a combination of sources including social media as well as working knowledge of effective and legal recruitment/selection techniques and an understanding of HR practices governed by federal, state, and local statutes is required.
o A high level of expertise working with applicant tracking systems and human resources information systems, e.g. Peoplefluent, Lawson, etc. is required along with proficiency in all Microsoft office products.
o Strong verbal and written communication skills, strong organization and multi-tasking skills and the ability to work effectively with all levels of the organization are required.
o Healthcare recruiting experience and experience recruiting in a union environment are preferred.

- Network and benchmark with other employers to learn best practices around diversity recruitment.
- Track and report on diversity initiatives.
