Summary
Join our growing Software/Logistics company seeking to hire an Internal Recruiter who will also serve as support for a wide variety of human resource projects. A love of people and building company culture will be valuable skills this role as we shift from a logistics company to a logistics software company. Applicants should enjoy large scale process re-engineering projects, be highly organized, and have strong attention to detail. The tasks and duties will expose you to the entire span of human resources functions. Approximately 50% of your time would be spent on recruiting-related activities, 25% on onboarding / new hire training, and 25% on other general HR support.
Responsibilities:
- Create job descriptions for every role in the organization, and keep them updated
- Create forms for various processes
- Work with department heads to define parameters of an open position
- Craft messaging to attract candidates as you post positions on various online channels (social media and professional platforms) and inter-office
- Screen incoming resumes and application forms
- Coordinate with hiring manager to bring in desired candidates for an interview
- This person will grow into responsibility of conducting the initial interview with candidates via video conferencing (3-6 months into the job)
- Provide shortlists of qualified candidates to hiring managers
- Send job offer, email and answer questions about compensation and benefits
- Collaborate with managers to identify future hiring needs
- Assist in the creation of a new onboarding process
- Will serve as the internal coordinator for employees with general HR questions
- Participate in job fairs
- Assist management in the coordination of employee reviews and appropriate resolution of employee performance issues
- Other tasks as identified
Requirements:
- 2-5 years of work experience as an HR Recruiter or similar role
- Love of people and building organizational culture
- Project management and process improvement skills are a must
- Able to quickly get up to speed on a complex business
- Demonstrate advanced writing skills
- Self-driven and able to make decisions independently
- Able to prioritize and drive tasks to completion
- Highly organized
- Demonstrate high level of confidentiality and discretion
- Solid verbal and written communication skills
- Time Management
- Experience with local, state, and federal employment law and regulations governing human resource programs
- 4-Year degree in Human Resources or Business strongly preferred
