Position description

The Recruiter supports the Administrator for Enrollment Management, Director of Admissions and Recruitment Marketing, and School Deans and Administrators in all phases of the student recruitment cycle. Principal responsibilities include recruitment of new students and assistance and support with the transition from admitted student to enrolled student. This particular role will be focused on graduate and professional program recruitment. Position involves significant relationship management with prospective and new students. Travel to local, regional, and national events for recruitment purposes and development of relationships with schools/institutions that serve as primary feeders to MCCMS academic programs is a primary responsibility of this role. The Recruiter conducts individual campus visits and tours for students or groups of students interested in MCCMS academic programs. Other duties include: managing a territory and the communication, recruitment, and relationship management of prospective students and influencers from within the assigned territory; assisting with coordination of visits orchestrated at the school or program level; participation in the production of publications and web resources; conducting follow up with Program Directors regarding prospective students, alumni, and program status; partnering with team members on data analysis, report development, and execution of recruitment plan.

The Recruiter must anticipate and carry out independent actions necessary to provide professional support to meet the needs of prospective students, families of prospective students, faculty, visiting faculty, physicians, and administrators. The Recruiter provides support for college committees and assumes responsibility for delegated administrative tasks. The Recruiter performs these duties independently and exercises judgment in handling questions raised by primary target audience members and influencers such as college and university advisors and career counselors; community college advisors, counselors, and faculty; and high school guidance counselors and teaching faculty.


Bachelor’s degree required. Applicants must possess excellent communication skills, both oral and written. At least three years of experience in higher education recruitment is required.

Additional qualifications

Experience with using a higher education Constituent Relationship Management (CRM) system is preferred. Knowledge of higher education prospective student market and attendant market challenges is helpful. Should have the ability to work independently, be flexible, accurate, goal-oriented, and adaptable to change in the work environment. Will require some weekend and evening work and occasional travel. Given the nature of academic programs at MCCMS, an interest in healthcare delivery, science, and/or wellbeing is a plus. Must possess strong human relation and organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively, including the ability to work collaboratively and professionally to build rapport with others at all levels of responsibility. Must be supportive of the recruitment, retention, and wellbeing of a student body rich in diversity. Must be able to handle a variety of tasks simultaneously with efficiency. Must maintain strict confidentiality of information. Requires good decision-making and judgment capabilities, good attention to detail, and excellent follow through.

Compensation Detail

Education, experience and tenure may be considered along with internal equity when job offers are extended.  The minimum salary every 2 weeks is approximately $1,929.60, based on a full-time position.
