Talent Acquisition Specialist-Technical

Full Time Minnesota Recruiter Job


To attract, recruit, hire, and retain IT and other project delivery, consulting, sales, and core internal business function professionals that fit Magnet 360’s core values, organizational structure and work environment. Responsible for sourcing, recruiting, screening applicants and placing candidates for a variety of technical positions, including developers, technical architects, account managers and business consultants.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Source, interview and select applicants for technical positions
  • Initiate and participate in network events
  • Ability to understand technology and keep abreast of technology trends
  • Understand the needs of the hiring manager and unique Magnet 360 culture
  • Maintain an applicant tracking system to organize incoming resumes and track candidates
  • Partner with hiring managers to develop a talent acquisition strategy to help and support their department’s hiring needs
  • Develop and maintain partnerships with outside talent acquisition partners when appropriate
  • Correspond with all applicants interested in potential employment with Magnet 360
  • Perform screening interviews with qualified applicants for open positions
  • Initiate in internet talent acquisition efforts, utilizing various on-line strategies
  • Network and build relationships with external agencies and business associations
  • Research, develop and maintain professional relationships with various colleges/universities and other educational institutions.
  • Effectively perform professional employment reference checks for potential new hires
  • Extend and negotiate job offers to potential Magnet 360 employees and contractors
  • Research, cultivate and ensure ethical hiring practices
  • Provide weekly updates on the status of open positions as well as effectively track and maintain candidate sources, budgets and outcomes
  • Provide interview assistance and training to department managers
  • Research new effective talent acquisition methods
  • Develop and maintain recruitment information and postings on company’s website
  • Other HR/Talent and projects as assigned


Activities and skills to achieve the above responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Experience recruiting for technical positions
  • Written communication and correspondence skills
  • Experience using various technology tools for talent acquisition
  • Professional verbal communication and presentation skills including poise and appearance
  • Proficient with computers, relevant software applications and general office equipment
  • Experience planning and organizing multiple assignments simultaneously, with strong attention to detail
  • Dependable and reliable, with a cheerful disposition
