Job duties will include but not limited to:

  • Open, review and approve requisitions in Human Resource Information System (HRIS), Ceridian

  • Post job openings online (including Craigslist, LinkedIn, jobsinminneapolis, local college websites, walser.com, and company intranet)

  • Screen resumes, conduct phone interviews, send decline emails and/or offer interview feedback

  • Source passive candidates (via LinkedIn, jobsinminneapolis, and networking)
  • Call professional references as needed, extend employment offers, and send offer letter

  • Communicate effectively with hiring managers to complete needs analyzes, obtain interview feedback, and provide candidate insight/ recommendation to determine top talent

  • Oversee completion of candidate background check, DMV report, drug test

  • Manage internal transfers and work with Payroll to ensure a smooth and efficient process

  • Assist with training Interns/Contractors on procedures

  • Represent Walser at internship/career fairs to create brand awareness and aid in recruitment efforts

  • Compile status emails/reports for selected requisitions or departments

  • All other duties, tasks and/or projects as assigned

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent education & experience

  • Previous corporate recruiting experience (at least 2 years preferred)

  • Able to manage multiple priorities with a sense of urgency and strong communication skills

  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

  • Sales aptitude and interest-need to be able to sell the position and company to prospective employees and can confidently speak to hiring manager about why the candidate is or is not best for the role
