POSITION SUMMARY:

This role reports to the Corporate Human Resources Director and is located at our Minneapolis headquarters.   This role supports the North America Internal Recruiting Organization (IRO) consisting of several fulltime and contract recruiters, partners with North America human resources team members on staffing needs and supports Valspar’s applicant tracking system (ATS), career web site and social media sites.

CORE JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Communicate with candidates to coordinate phone, videoconference and on-site interview schedules, make candidate travel arrangements, assist candidates as needed and manage the on-site “candidate care” aspects of the candidate experience
  • Actively participate in the implementation of a forthcoming ATS system upgrade

  • Oversee job requisition allocations among recruiters and the tracking of job requisitions in Valspar’s ATS
  • Partner with North America recruiters to develop job advertisements and post them to internal and external job boards, association websites, universities and social media sites
  • Provide monthly hiring metrics analysis and reporting on North America recruitment activity and calculate and measure costs and savings against IRO team goals
  • Manage vendor relationship with Valspar’s ATS provider, professional and social media partners, “big board” recruitment providers and candidate background check vendor
  • Complete annual North America EEO/AAP annual compliance reporting
  • Administer pre-employment assessments as needed and track pre-employment verification results and notify on a timely basis

QUALIFICATIONS:

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

  • High school degree required and four-year college degree preferred
  • Prefer minimum five years of human resources or staffing support experience in a high volume corporate recruiting environment

SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum of two years previous ATS management and navigation experience required; global implementation preferred.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint), Microsoft SharePoint and global ATS systems
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while delivering quality work
  • Ability to perform under tight schedules, adapt to last minute changes, and handle a fast paced environment
  • Strong organization and prioritization skills with attention to detail
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently; anticipates needs and works pro-actively
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with candidates, management team members, interview teams, recruiters and contingency search firms
  • Excellent customer service skills and ability to form relationships with all organization levels
  • Outgoing and people oriented with positive attitude, energy and enthusiasm
