Full Stack Developer

Full Time Minnesota Tech Job

Foundry

Foundry seeks good people who also happen to be seasoned full-stack developers (plural, tell your friends). Expertise in modern Javascript technologies is a must. This role requires deep technical knowledge, as well as the ability – and drive – to lead technical efforts, interact professionally with clients, and independently make decisions that improve the digital products we create with our clients.

The growing list of technologies we use include (but are not limited to): Ruby/Rails, Java, Spring, Postgres, Sass, HTML, Javascript, React, React Native, Node, Python.

Requirements

Minimum three years professional software development experience.

Who we are

Foundry creates digital products with sincere empathy for the people who’ll use them. We look for ever-curious lifelong learners to add their talents to our team. Our clients bring us real-world problems to solve, not lists of requirements to implement. We dig into their goals and culture, asking lots of questions until we know we’re proposing just the right solution. Then we make it happen, pretty fast. We help our clients make beautiful, impactful, elegant, well-conceived custom software.

We don’t do staff augmentation, except in reverse when our clients come work and collaborate with us. We tend not to work remote, but when life happens – take care of it, family first. We keep sane hours and enjoy the occasional happy hour, but mostly we just work hard/smart from 9ish to 5ish and then we go home – or out to play.

Our company culture revolves around creative problem solving, collaborative thinking, and hard work mixed with an appropriate dose of irreverence. We take our work seriously but insist on having some serious fun while doing it. Silliness often occurs, yet stuff still gets done, well.

We define and design all that we make, always taking those steps in that deliberate order. Everything Foundry produces is crafted with attention-to-detail by people who genuinely care about creating positive outcomes and real impact. We’re dedicated to partnering with companies in the business of doing good. We earn our clients’ trust us to turn their vision into something amazing.

Director of IT

ADX Labs

THE OPPORTUNITY:

ADX Labs is a $100M global holding group of 6 (and growing) technology companies headquartered in Downtown Minneapolis and we are looking for our first Director of IT. This is not your typical IT role. We’re different… very different. You will be doing enterprise type work in a startup like culture:

  • We don’t necessarily do 8-hour days and we don’t punch a clock

  • If you think the words governance, audit, accountability, structure, systems and controls are sexy you’ll be interested in us and this role.

  • If you want to play with a green field, build something from the ground up, love challenges, be challenged and challenge others you will find a home here.

  • If you want to be micro managed, told what to do and follow a plan… this is not for you. We barely have a plan. We want to give you the tools, support and time to create it.

  • We are a curious bunch, we can admit when we don’t know something and are empowered to go figure it out.

  • A bonus for us would be if you have helped a company go public and/or worked at a publicly held company.

Now let’s get into the role and please note… if you do not have all the background we have listed below but are close, highly interested in learning more about who we are and what we do and are considering making a job change now we want to speak with you.

GENERAL SUMMARY:

The Director of IT (“Director”) position is a senior level management position for ADX (the “Company”). The Director reports directly to the Company’s Chief Financial Officer / Controller (the “CFO”). The Director oversees the Company’s information technology environment, including the IT infrastructure and applications evolution. The Director must ensure that the IT framework of ADX is reliable, secure, cost efficient and strategically sound, with a design that enables change, compliance, growth and flexibility. Primary duties include the leadership over the assessment of existing controls, particularly in the change management and access areas, with the follow on development and implementation of an appropriate and well-designed IT and systems infrastructure that will allow the company to have a strong control environment. Such an environment will need to be well documented and the Director will need to lead initiatives that will enable ADX’s IT environment to provide a basis that the internal controls over financial reporting are functioning appropriately.

  • Why Dispatch? Because there's no bad seats on a rocket ship!

Dispatch is a technology-based company that is redefining same-day delivery. Whether you need items delivered to a jobsite, don't have time to stop at the store, or simply crave donuts from across town, we bring the world to you. We’re making it easier to buy local and grow the economy you care about--the one in your backyard. But our commitment to community doesn’t stop there; we partner with local businesses and organizations to serve our communities by delivering hope to those in need. Whether it’s bringing items to food shelves or volunteering our time, we’re there to deliver. It’s our chance to leave a mark on the world.

If you would like to speak with me about this send any of the following: summary, resume, links to LinkedIn or GitHub. Heck, I’ll take a good haiku:
