Duties and Responsibilities

Create and maintain new features for the Fisdap product suite primarily using PHP, HTML, JavaScript, and CSS
-
Provide mentoring and coaching
-
Provide thought leadership on technologies, architecture, and application design
-
Contribute ideas and techniques to improve the team and the products we create
-
Diagnose/debug and resolve issues
Required Skills
-
3+ years experience developing enterprise/business web applications
-
Understanding of SOLID object-oriented design principles
-
Familiarity with agile development methodologies (i.e. Scrum)
-
Familiarity with continuous integration and other DevOps methodologies
-
Experience writing at least one of the following test types: unit, integration, acceptance
-
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with stakeholders and team members
-
Passionate and self-motivated
-
Experience implementing enterprise architecture patterns (i.e. Repository, Command Bus, Events)
-
Experience working with or developing RESTful web services
-
PHP 5.3+ is preferred; candidates with experience in other modern languages (Java, C#, Ruby) will also be considered
-
MVC frameworks
-
HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, jQuery, AJAX
-
MySQL (or similar RDBMS)
-
Linux (Ubuntu)
-
Distributed version control systems (Mercurial [hg] or Git)
Preferred candidates will have experience with one or more of the following:
