Position Summary:

• RedBrick Health is actively seeking a highly skilled and motivated Business Intelligence, Reporting Analyst/Developer with medical and pharmacy claims experience to design, develop ETL Solutions. RedBrick’s application portfolio includes consumer websites; operations management applications; and internal software systems as well as numerous diverse internal and external data providers and consumers. Our data management systems include an operational data store; a data warehouse; healthcare analytics; and a Pentaho reporting system.

Essential Job Functions:

• Strong SQL skills and comfort-level with relational databases.
• Utilize ETL/ DW/ Reporting and Business Intelligence tools to analyze requirements and develop reporting solutions for our clients and internal users.
• Analyze and understand data sources and end-user requirements to deliver ETL Solutions for managing RedBrick data, specifically as it relates to claims eligibility, medical and pharmacy claims files.
• Design and implement information and report applications that meet defined requirement details.
• Author new reports and modify existing reports using Pentaho reporting software to meet business specifications.
• Support solutions through the entire development lifecycle including requirements gathering, analysis, development, performance tuning, deployment, and automation.
• Work with information delivery and business owners to understand business needs and to analyze and clarify information related requirements.

Essential Job Requirements:

• Education: A bachelor’s of science degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Electrical Engineering or Management Information Systems.
• Experience: 5+ years of ETL/ Data Warehouse/ Claims file development, 3+ years of BI development.
• Operational and Analytical report development using dimensional and relational databases.
• Experience as a contributor in all phases of project life cycle methodology for report application development.
• Expertise in SQL and the ability to build SQL statements and scripts.
• Demonstrated understanding of data quality principles and practices.
• Competency in analyzing business requests and translating them into report and analytics requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with the Pentaho Data Integration and BI tools.
• Experience with MySQL database.
• Accustomed to a fast-paced or startup environment.
• Experience in the healthcare or health insurance sectors building reporting and analytics capabilities.
