Here’s what you’d do:

  • Advocate for quality
  • Define and guide the strategy for automation testing
  • Define the goals, objectives and strategy for the QA team
  • Facilitate communication between stakeholders to ensure QA initiatives are understood and aligned with business needs
  • Train and supervise QA team members
  • Mentor other QA team members to help them to contribute at their highest level, grow their technical skills, and ensure they understand expectations around technical excellence in QA
  • Conduct root-cause analysis for critical defects released to our customers or as needed to improve processes
  • Design and improve, execute, and analyze process changes while establishing and encouraging best practices for the QA team
  • Manage devices, the build server, and tools designed to improve QA’s testing processes

Here’s the kind of experience & skills we’re looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or equivalent direct work experience
  • 2 years of experience developing test automation frameworks or automated tests
  • Mobile application testing experience
  • Proven ability to lead automation initiatives across QA teams and development
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence and build solid relationships with team members; strong collaboration skills and ability to get work done through others
  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills
  • Experience interacting with backend/server services and their data formats including REST APIs, JSON, and SQL
  • Strong technical aptitude and experience with the software tools and techniques used in software development and automated testing including familiarity with the following tools:
    • Selenium or Appium
    • Page Object / Page Factory model
    • Android Studio and Xcode IDEs
    • Continuous integration servers (Bamboo, Jenkins)
    • Git or other source control management software
    • JUnit, UIAutomation, Espresso, or other testing frameworks
